1 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programmes Common Minimum Eligibility Criteria for all Undergraduate Programmes (CMEC-UG) a) Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1991 are eligible for admission. [Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board Class X (High School) certificate or equivalent only will be considered as authentic]. b) Candidates must have passed with minimum 60% marks in Class X or c) Candidates must have passed with minimum 60% marks in Class XII / QE (Equivalent Qualifying Examination). [Total Marks / Average / GPA in Class XII to be computed as per the respective Boards/ authority conducting the examination] d) Candidates for some programmes must have studied and passed certain required subjects / combinations of subjects in Class XII as given below. Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in Class XII / I. Sc. or equivalent examination, with minimum 60% marks. 2 B.PHARM Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry and in any one of: Mathematics / Biology / Biotechnology in Class XII / I. Sc. or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks. 3 B. ARCH a) Candidates must have passed in English and Mathematics, in Class XII / I. Sc. or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks. b) Candidates must also qualify in an Aptitude Test (NATA, conducted by NIASA, Council of Architecture, India) 4 BHMCT c) Candidates must have passed in English in Class XII / Intermediate or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks. Please also Note; f) In case a Board/ authority only indicates Grades: Minimum average of Grade C / Minimum average Grade point of 4 in PCM / PCB in standard XII or Equivalent Degree, whatever the case may be, the grade point must be equivalent to 60%. [Equivalent marks proof to be enclosed] g) The following examinations are considered equivalent to the 10+2 system of Indian Education. Candidates should also produce equivalent marks for the corresponding grades. High School Certificate Examination, University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, UK. International Baccalaureate Examination of Geneva. High School Graduation from accredited institutions of USA. 12 years High School - Grade 12 pass from the accredited institutions of Canada. 12 years High School Graduation / Diploma / Certificate of an approved Board Schools of China, Thailand, Indonesia, Bhutan, Syria, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, UAE and other Gulf Countries. 12 years Secondary Stage qualifications of National Examination Board / Council of Ministry of Education of Kenya, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania Uganda and Rwanda. High School Certificate (HSC) and Cambridge School Certificate ('A' level) from the accredited institutions of Mauritius. Candidates are advise to visit Ed.CIL website for equivalence ( and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate well in advance from the evaluation division of the AIU (website

2 Sec 6: Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Programmes 6A) Common minimum eligibility criteria for MBA, MCA, and M.Sc. programmes [For MCA programme: The candidates must have passed in Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as one of the subject in Class XII / Equivalent Examination]. c) Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class XII or equivalent] ( system). d) Candidates of B.Sc. / B.A. / B.Com. Honours must have minimum 60% marks in average in their Honours subject. Candidates of Bachelor of Computer Applications / other graduate courses must have minimum 60% marks in average in graduation. 4 6C) Common minimum eligibility criteria for M.Tech programmes a) Candidates must have passed with minimum 60% marks in average of all subjects in Class X or b) Candidates must have passed with minimum 60% marks in Class XII / Equivalent Examination. c) Candidates must hold either a i. B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE/ equivalent degree in the appropriate disciplines / branches mentioned below for the respective courses, with a first class or minimum 60% marks in average in graduation. In case the examining Board does not award a class, the percentage marks in graduation will be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects), an ii. Candidates must have a first class or minimum 60% marks in average in graduation. In case the examining Board does not award a class, the percentage marks in graduation will be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects). B.Arch / B.Planning or equivalent or B.E. in Civil Engineering with a first class or minimum 60% marks in average in graduation [as per clause c (i) in 5C] an ii).
