2 Admission Procedure THE UNIVERSITY IS IN THE 10 TH SCHEDULE OF ANDHRA PRADESH RE-ORGANIZATION ACT THE COMMON ADMISSION PROCESS AND THE PROCEDURES AND QUOTAS ENVISAGED UNDER ARTICLE 371- D WILL BE FOLLOWED. Registration and Verification process 1. All the candidates have to pay Registration cum processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- however in case of SC/ST candidates the fee is Rs. 500/- only. Registration cum processing fee (Non Refundable) shall be paid in cash only. 2. Candidates shall produce the following Original Certificates for verification at the time of Counseling and submit one set of Photostat copies of all certificates a. Hall ticket & Rank card of Fine Arts and Design Entrance Examination b. 10 th Class Marks sheet / Memo. c. Memorandum of Marks of 12 th class / Intermediate / Diploma / Equivalent. d. Bonafied / Study certificate from VI class to Intermediate /Diploma / Equivalent. e. Caste certificate / Integrated Community Certificate (ICC) issued by MRO for candidates belonging to BC/SC/ST. f. 12 th class / Intermediate / Diploma Transfer certificate / College Leaving Certificate. g. Aadhaar Card h. After verification, the candidates will be issued a receipt of certificate from the counter. TUITION FEE DETAILS: a. Fee has to be paid at the time of admission. All students of Telangana shall be eligible for reimbursement of up to a maximum of Rs.35,000/- or the actual fee, whichever is less regardless of the fee charged by the College, subject to verification and eligibility criteria prescribed by Government of Telangana. ii. All Students who are local as per presidential order in the state of Andhra Pradesh whether they are studying in the institutions in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana State shall be given fee reimbursement from the Government of A.P as per the eligibility of fee reimbursement scheme of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Admission process for National Integration Scheme (NIS): 1. Supernumerary Seats of 5% on the approved intake in each course will be meant for students of other states under National Integration Scheme. Admission in this quota will be applicable only to those candidates who write the Fine Arts and Design entrance examination and who studied from class 6 th to 12 th in other states in India (other than Telangana and A.P). Candidates who studied outside India in other countries are not eligible for admission under NIS. Page 3 of 5

All Non Andhra Pradesh / Non-Telangana candidates seeking admission under National Integration Scheme shall report on 12 th August 2017 at 11:30 AM with all relevant original certificates in support of their claim and get their certificates verified. The tuition fee for the candidates admitted under this category is Rs. 45,000/- per annum and there is no fee reimbursement from the Government. 3. Candidates with Intermediate / Diploma qualification from other state in India should obtain equivalency certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana. Important Instructions 1. Candidates shall furnish a mobile number at the time of certificate verification and web based counseling. One Time Password will be communicated to this mobile number. Request for change of mobile number will not be entertained under any circumstances 2. Candidates need to verify the mobile number, caste category, local area, gender, Fee Reimbursement, special category, date of birth, and other details printed on receipt of certificates. Any discrepancy should be brought to the notice of Chief Verification Officer / Co-ordinator immediately for corrections. Seat allotment process depends on the accuracy of the above data. Candidates are also jointly responsible for ensuring the correctness of the data. 3. Candidates opting for B.F.A (Applied Art, Painting, Sculpture, & Animation) are advised to give more options of their interest instead of one or two courses. Candidates opting for B.F.A (Applied Art, Painting & Sculpture) and for B.F.A (Photography) are advised to give both the options i.e., Regular and Self-financed (SSS). 4. Message will be sent to the cell phone of the candidate after allotment of seat. 5. Candidates have to report to the Principals of the colleges i.e., College of Fine Arts and School of Planning and Architecture along with the allotment order and fee receipt and submit the original certificate only at the college from to by 5:00 PM. 6. Candidates are required to be present on the notified date and time with all the relevant certificates and fee. If Candidate fails to report on day specified for certificate verification and counseling the candidate will have no claim for further allotment of seats. MERE ATTENDING DOES NOT GUARANTEE A SEAT. 7. JNAFAU being a state wide institution, region wise reservation of seats is applicable in admissions, as under based on the procedure and quotas envisaged under Article 371-D of the constitution of India. Admission into 85% of seats in each course shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to three local areas in the state specified namely. Andhra University Area ( Andhra) Osmania University Area ( Telangana) Sri Venkateswara University Area (Rayalaseema) In the ratio of 42:36:22 respectively and the balance of 15% seats shall be unreserved seats. Note: The region wise reservation ratio may be modified based on amendments notified by the government subsequently. 2. The statutory rules of reservation as per State Government are applicable as under a. SC/ST/BC Categories SC 15% ST 6% BC-A -7% BC-B -10% BC-C -1% BC-D 7% BC E 4% b.
