District Fall PEIMS Data Collection Timelines*

1 Districts are required to report to the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) all students enrolled and professional staff employed on the PEIMS snapshot date of October 27, 2017 (last Friday in October). Districts are also required to report to PEIMS the leaver reason for students served last year in grades 7-12 who do not return to school by October 27, 2017, (close of school start window has been extended due to Hurricane Harvey). Data reported to PEIMS must be reviewed for accuracy and completeness. Each campus is responsible for reviewing and verifying their PEIMS data. Various data entry guides are posted on the district s Student Information Systems web page to assist data entry personnel on where to go in eschoolplus to input various PEIMS data. PEIMS data entered into applications other than eschoolplus (i.e. estar, WebSmartt, etc.) is rolled into eschoolplus nightly during the overnight process. Districts must meet the deadlines set by TEA for each PEIMS submission. In order to meet the deadlines set by TEA, it is imperative for all persons involved in the collection and recording of PEIMS data, including school administrators, special program personnel, campus data entry personnel adhere to the YISD PEIMS timelines shown below District Fall PEIMS Data Collection Timelines* October 27, 2017 October 27, 2017 November 3, 2017 November 7-10, 2017 November 16, 2017 December 1, 2017 December 11-15, 2017 January 8-12, 2018 January 8-12, 2018 Close of School Start Window All student leaver coding MUST be entered into ESchoolPLUS by this day. PEIMS Snapshot The Fall PEIMS data reflects data on this date Errors resulting in PEIMS fatal errors must be corrected by this date. PEIMS Fall data review - PEIMS reports will be available for campus and district personnel for review. Reports will be posted to A.R.E.A. sharepoint, and must be reviewed by the campuses for completeness and accuracy. Campuses and district offices have until December 1, 2017 to make all corrections to Fall PEIMS data. Data Quality Conference (Atrium) Campuses will have the opportunity to review their PEIMS data & reports with special program department personnel. Campus and district offices have until December 1, 2017 to make all corrections to the Fall PEIMS data. Last day to make all corrections to Fall PEIMS data Middle & High School campuses will review and correct all underreported students PEIMS office submit Final PEIMS Fall data to TEA.
