G.O.Ms.153 Higher Education (E.C) Department dt G.O.Ms.168 Higher Education (EC.2) Dept dt G.O.Ms.47 Higher Education (EC.2) Dept dt G.O.Ms.102 Higher Education (EC.2) Dept dt G.O.Ms.224 Higher Education (EC.2) Dept dt G.O.Ms.46, Higher Education (EC.2) Dept., dt G.O.Ms.1 Higher Education (EC.2) Dept dt G.O.Ms.137 Higher Education (EC.2) Dept dt ORDER: The following notification shall be published in an Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dt NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 3 and section 15 of the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983 (Andhra Pradesh Act 5 of 1983), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Regulation of Admissions into Post Graduate Engineering including Technology/Pharmacy/Architecture and Planning courses (through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and Common Entrance Test) Rules, 2007 issued in G.O.Ms.153, Education (EC) Department, dt: as subsequently amended. In the said rules, AMENDMENTS 1. In rule 2, (1) for clause (o), the following shall be substituted, namely:- (o) Qualified Candidate means the candidate who passed the qualifying examination securing not less than 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories) and who has appeared for the PGECET/ PGECET-AC, as the case may be for admission into the Professional Courses viz, Post Graduate Engineering, including Technology / Pharmacy /Architecture and Planning courses and has been assigned ranking in the Common Merit List as per Rule 5 or Rule 11 (vii) of the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering including Technology/Pharmacy/Architecture and Planning Courses Common Entrance Test Rules, Contd..2.

2 ::2:: (2) for clause (p), the following shall be substituted, namely:- (p) Qualifying Examination means the examination of the minimum qualification, passing of which with not less than 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories) entitles one to seek admission into the relevant Professional Course as prescribed in Rule 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering including Technology / Pharmacy / Architecture and Planning Courses Common Entrance Test Rules, In rule 4, for sub rule (ii) along with the proviso thereunder, the following shall be substituted namely; (ii) The candidate should have passed the appropriate qualifying examination with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) i.e., B.Tech/AMIE/B.Pharmacy/ B.Arch/B.Planning/M.Sc./M.C.A. or equivalent examination (as specified in the Annexure) on the date of his/her counseling. The candidate should have secured a GATE score or a rank at the common entrance test and satisfy other conditions laid down in these rules. Provided that the NRI seats shall be filled with NRI candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 50% aggregate marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average(CGPA) equivalent to 5 on the scale of 10. HIGHER EDUCATION (EC.2) DEPARTMENT G.O.Ms. 87 Dated: Read the following:- 1) G.O.Ms.90, Higher Education (EC) Dept., Dt ) G.O.Ms.6, Higher Education(EC.2) Dept., Dt ) G.O.MS.153, Higher Education (EC.2) Dept., Dt ) G.O.MS.168, Higher Education (EC.2) Dept., Dt ) From the Member-Secretary, AFRC Lr.20/AFRC FFC/ , Dt O R D E R: **** The following notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh extra-ordinary Gazette dt Notification: In exercise of the powers conferred under rule 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Engineering Including Technology / Pharmacy / Architecture and Planning courses (through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and Common Entrance Test) Rules, 2007 issued in the G.Os 3 rd and 4 th read above, read with sub rule (V) of Rule 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (For Professional courses offered in Private Unaided Professional Institutions) Rules, 2006 issued in the G.O 2 nd read above and in pursuance of the resolution of the Committee (AFRC) dt , the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby notify the following Fee structure for PG Engineering including Technology, Architecture & Planning courses, PG Pharmacy course and Graduate Level Pharm D (P.B) in Private Unaided Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh for the academic year (1) For PG Engineering (including Technology), Architecture & Planning courses The tuition fee is fixed: -- at Rs.57,000/- (Rupees Fifty seven thousands only) per annum for each student for A category seats (70%); -- upto Rs.1,25,000/- (Rupees one lakh twenty five thousands only) per annum for each student for B category seats (30%); and

4 Contd..2. ::2:: -- upto 6,000 U.S Dollars/- (Six thousands U.S. Dollars only) per annum for each student to be admitted in supernumerary seats not exceeding 15% of the total intake of students in each Course with the approval of AICTE to be filled with NRIs/ Students of Foreign Nationals / Children of Workers in Gulf Countries as classified in G.O.Ms.153, dt as Amended by G.O.Ms.168, HE (EC.2) Dept., Dt For PG Engineering including Technology, Architecture and Planning Courses in the Private Unaided Colleges for the academic years and ; 2. For Post Graduate Pharmacy Courses; The Tuition fee is fixed: -- at Rs,1,10,000/- (Rupees one lakh ten thousands only) per annum for each student in A Category Seats (70%); -- upto Rs.2,25,000/- (Rupees two lakhs twenty five thousands only) per annum for each student in B Category seats (30%); and -- upto 7,000 U.S. Dollars/- (Seven thousand U.S. Dollars only) per annum for each student to be added in supernumerary seats not exceeding 15% of the total intake of students in each Course with the approval of PCI to be filled with NRIs / Students of Foreign Nationals / Children of Workers in Gulf Countries as classified in G.O.Ms. 153, Dt as amended by G.O.Ms.168, HE (EC.2) Dept., dt for PG Pharmacy Courses in the Private Unaided Colleges for the academic years and ; 3. For Graduate level Pharm D (P.B) Course: The Tuition Fee is fixed: -- at Rs.68,000/- (Rupees sixty eight thousands only) per annum for each student for A Category seats as contemplated in Cl.3(b) of G.O.Ms.153, HE (EC.2) Dept., Dt up to Rs.1,55,000/- (Rupees one lakh fifty five thousands only) per annum for each student in B Category seats as contemplated in Cl.3 of G.O.Ms.153, HE (EC.2) Dept., Dt ; and -- upto 6,000 U.S. Dollars/- (Six thousands U.S Dollars only) per annum for each NRIs/ Students of Foreign Nationals / Children of Workers in Gulf Countries to be Admitted in Supernumerary seats, if any, not exceeding 15% of the total intake of seats with the approval of AICTE as contemplated in Rule 3 (e) of G.O.Ms.153, HE (EC.2) Dept., Dt for Graduate Level Pharm. D (P.B) Course in the Private Unaided Colleges for the Academic years and

5 Contd..3. ::3:: The Government hereby also notify the following fee amounts as fixed by Admission and Fee Regulatory committee under various heads towards Special Fee for PG Engineering including Technology, Architecture & Planning Courses and PG Pharmacy Course for the academic years and as specified below:- (A) The Private Un-aided Engineering including Planning and Architecture Colleges are permitted to collect the following amounts as Special Fee for PG Engineering (M.E/ M.Tech / M.Arch. / M.Plg) Courses: (i) Rs.2,000/- as one time payment per student at the time of admission towards Admission / Registration / Recognition fees and out of the said amount of Rs.2000/-, so collected Rs.500/- shall be remitted by the Institution to the concerned University, and the remaining amount of Rs.1,500/- shall be retained by the Institution. (ii) Rs.3,000/- per annum per student during the 2 year Course towards students related special services rendered by them as detailed below and the said amount shall be retained by the Institutions:- Sl 1 College functions Reading room College Magazine Student Activity Centre Student Hand Book Lab Fee Library fee Computer and internet fee Placement cell Games & Sports TOTAL 3, (iii) Rs.1,500/- per annum per student during the course towards the common services rendered by the University to all the colleges as mentioned below and such amount collected by the Colleges shall be remitted to the concerned University:- Sl. 1 Examination related Academic audit Curriculum revision & Content development Staff training Coordinating meeting University publications Website maintenance T O T A L (iv) Rs.500/- towards Library deposit and an amount of Rs.500/- towards Laboratory

6 deposit (total Rs.1000/-) by way of refundable caution deposits at the time of admission only as one time payment. Contd..4. ::4:: (B) The Private Un-aided PG Pharmacy Colleges are permitted to collect the following amounts as Special Fee for PG Pharmacy Courses: (i) Rs.2,000/- as one time payment per student at the time of admission towards Admission / Registration / Recognition fees and out of the said amount of Rs.2000/-, so collected Rs.500/- shall be remitted by the Institution to the concerned University, and the remaining amount of Rs.1,500/- shall be retained by the Institution. (ii) Rs.3,000/- per annum per student during the 2 year Course towards students related special services rendered by them as detailed below and the said amount shall be retained by the Institutions:- Sl 1 College functions Reading room College Magazine Student Activity Centre Student Hand Book Lab Fee Library fee Computer and internet fee Placement cell Games & Sports TOTAL 3, (iii) Rs.1,500/- per annum per student during the course towards the common services rendered by the University to all the colleges as mentioned below and such amount collected by the Colleges shall be remitted to the concerned University:- Sl. 1 Examination related Academic audit Curriculum revision & Content development Staff training Coordinating meeting University publications Website maintenance T O T A L (iv) Rs.500/- towards Library deposit and an amount of Rs.500/- towards Laboratory deposit (total Rs.1000/-) by way of refundable caution deposits at the time of admission only as one time payment.

7 (C) The Private Graduate Level Pharm D (P.B) Colleges are permitted to collect the following amounts as Special Fee for Graduate Level Pharm D (PB) Course: (1) Rs.2,000/- as one time payment per student at the time of admission towards Admission / Registration / Recognition fees and out of the said amount of Rs.2000/-, Rs.500/- shall be remitted by the Institution to the concerned University, and the remaining amount of Rs.1,500/- shall be retained by the Institution. Contd..5. ::5:: (2) Rs.1,000/- per annum per student during the 3 year Course towards students related special services rendered by them as detailed below and the said amount shall be retained by the Institutions:- Sl 1 College functions Health centre services for University students / Insurance for affiliated colleges 3 Reading room College Magazine Hobby centres Student Hand book Lab fee Library fee Computer and internet fee Placement cell Games & Sports TOTAL 1, Rs.1,500/- per annum per student during the course towards the common services rendered by the University to all the colleges as mentioned below and such amount collected by the Colleges shall be remitted to the concerned University:- Sl. 1 Examination related Academic audit Curriculum revision & Content development Staff training Coordinating meeting University publications Website maintenance T O T A L Rs.500/- towards Library deposit and an amount of Rs.500/- towards Laboratory deposit (total Rs.1000/-) by way of refundable caution deposits at the time of admission only as one time payment. The above tuition fee is fixed for the academic years and subject to a provision for neutralization of inflationary impact to the required extent basing on the official rate of inflation as notified by the RBI / GOI after considering the various parameters of the cost structure of the Professional Colleges at the beginning of the academic year

8 The following directions are also given to all the concerned Post Graduate Engineering including Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture and Planning Colleges Graduate Level Pharm D (PB) Colleges:- (i) The Managements of the Colleges have been informed not to charge any Capitation Fee and there shall not by any Profiteering. Except the above Fee fixed by the Committee, no other amount, either directly or indirectly, can be unauthorisedly charged by the Management. If any such other amount is charged under any other head or guise (e.g, donation etc.) it would amount to charging of Capitation Fee. The surplus (profit) that is generated from the collection of the Fee must be for the benefit of the Institution, and can not be diverted for other purposes or for personal gain. Contd..6 ::6:: (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) The students admitted to the course during the academic years , and shall continue to pay every year the same annual tuition fee as paid at the time of their admission till they complete the course. The students who were admitted in the college prior to the academic year shall continue to pay every year the same annual fee at the rate existing at the time of their admission till they complete the courses. The institution shall collect the Annual Tuition fee every year in advance only for that particular year either in a lumpsum or in installments, if it so opts. The Management of the Institutions are informed that fixation of the Fee Structure by the Committee will not by itself enable or permit the managements to run the relevant courses in their institutions, if these are otherwise not duly recognized and permitted by the Government or AICTE / FCI / Concerned University at any relevant time. The above Tuition Fee is fixed for the academic year and subject to provision for neutralization of inflationary impact to the required extent at the beginning of the academic year (BY ORDER AND IN THE NAME OF THE GOVERNOR OF ANDHRA PRADESH) M.G.
