1 ALAGAPPA UNIVERSITY, KARAIKUDI (A State University Re-accredited with A grade by NAAC) Distance Education inations May 2017 INFORMATION TO THE CANDIDATES The University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi has issued a public notice (F.No.12-9/2016(DEB-III), Dt ) with regard to Territorial Jurisdiction and setting up of ination centres. All Institutions have been instructed to follow the UGC policy on ODL norms and territorial jurisdiction which are applicable for all academic activities including setting up of examination centres for Distance Education. In compliance with the public notice of the UGC, Alagappa University has fixed the following 61 exam centres located in Tamil Nadu for the conduct of May 2017 examinations. 2 card / debit card options available). Upon successful completion of exam fee, candidates may print Hall ticket instantly. Even after the successful payment, if the e-hall Ticket is not generated, the candidate should wait up to TWO days for auto process. No need to apply again. Hall ticket will not be generated for candidates having pending course fee. Thus, course fee pending candidates are instructed to remit the course fee first and then proceed to submit exam application online. Saturdays and Sundays are holidays. OTHERS Candidates shall be permitted to write the exams only on the production of e-hall Ticket and original identity card issued by the University on each day of the examination. The candidate s photo in e-hall Ticket should be attested by a Gazetted Officer. If any candidate is found to be defaulter in (i) payment of program fee, (ii) payment of exam fee, (iii) compulsory attendance in PCP and (iv) debarred for malpractice, then the University reserves the right to take action to cancel the written examination or withheld the results. The University reserves the right to cancel any of the exam center(s) / any particular programme(s) due to administrative reasons. No candidate will be permitted to appear for more than one program at a time.
