2 2 1. REGISTRAR Mode of Recruitment: Deputation/ Direct Recruitment. For Deputation: (i) An academician in the field of medical science not lower in rank than that of a PROFESSOR of five year standing Or (ii) An officer of the Government not lower in rank than that of Deputy Secretary to Government For direct recruitment An academician in the field of medical science not lower in rank than that of a PROFESSOR of five year standing. (i) On Deputation : Pay in the Parent Department (ii) Direct Recruitment : Rs G.P.8,800/ Tenure : 3 years. Eligible for reappointment a further period of three years. The age of retirement is 58 years. Age: The applicant for the post should not be below 45 years of age and should not have completed 55 years of age.

3 3 2. CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS Mode of Recruitment: By Deputation/Direct Recruitment. For Deputation: (i) An academician in the field of medical science not lower in rank than that of a PROFESSOR of an affiliated college. For direct recruitment An academician in the field of medical science not lower in rank than that of a PROFESSOR of an affiliated college. 1.On Deputation : Pay in the Parent Department 2.Direct Recruitment : Rs G.P.7,700/ Tenure : 3 years. Eligible for reappointment for a further period of three years. The age of retirement is 58 years. Age: The applicant for the post should not be below 45 years of age and should not have completed 55 years of age. 3. DEAN OF STUDENTS Mode of Recruitment: By Deputation/Direct Recruitment. For Deputation: (i) An academician in the field of medical science not lower in rank than that of a PROFESSOR with M.D or M.S qualification and 5 years of teaching experience.

4 4 (ii) Shall possess experience in Organizing meetings, seminars Workshops, cultural festivals, sports conferences and other youth activities. (iii) Shall possess experience in publishing journals, news bulletins etc; For direct recruitment (i) An academician in the field of medical science not lower in rank than that of a PROFESSOR with M.D or M.S qualification and 5 years of teaching experience. (ii) Shall possess experience in Organizing meetings, seminars Workshops, cultural festivals, sports conferences and other youth activities. Direct Recruitment : Rs.15,600 39,100 + G.P.7,700/ Age: In the case of direct recruitment. The applicant for the post must not be less than 40 years of age and must not have completed 50 years of age as on the 1 st July of the year in which the recruitment is made. The age of retirement is 58 years. 4. Deputy Controller of Examinations Mode of Recruitment: By Deputation only.

5 5 By deputation from among the academicians not below the rank than that of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the field of Medical Science and must have had teaching experience for a period of not less than 10 years. 1. Lecturer ( Department of Medical Genetics) Mode of Recruitment: By Deputation/ Direct recruitment For Deputation: Must possess MBBS Degree with PG Degree in the Genetics. Must possess not less than three years teaching experience as Tutor/Demonstrator in a recognized Medical College. For direct recruitment Must possess MBBS Degree with PG Degree in the Genetics. Must possess not less than three years teaching experience as Tutor/Demonstrator in a recognized Medical College. In case of Direct recruitment must not have completed 40 years of age on the 1 st July of the year of recruitment.

Assistant Professor (Department of Transfusion Medicine) Mode of Recruitment: By Deputation/ Direct recruitment For Deputation: Must possess MBBS Degree with PG Degree in Transfusion Medicine. Staff Nurse Mode of Recruitment: By Deputation/Direct Recruitment For Deputation: Must possess B.Sc Nursing with not less than two years experience in Transfusion Medicine in a recognized Medical Institution. (or) Diploma in Nursing with not less than five years experience in Transfusion Medicine in a recognized Medical Institution. For direct recruitment (i) Must possess B.Sc Nursing with not less than two years experience in Transfusion Medicine in a recognized Medical Institution. (or) Diploma in Nursing with not less than five years experience in Transfusion Medicine in a recognized Medical Institution. (ii) Must not have completed 30 years of age as on the 1 st July of the year of recruitment in the case of O.C, 35 years of age as on 1 st July of the year of recruitment in the case of candidates belonging to BC/MBC/DC and 38 years of age as on 1 st July of the year of

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANT 1. The application can be downloaded from the University Website and the Filled in application along with all the enclosures should reach the University on or before 5.00.p.m. on superscribing the envelope 'APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF '. 2. Candidates who apply for direct recruitment must be Indian National. 3. Candidates who satisfy the conditions prescribed should be prepared to appear for a written test if any, and/or//interview at their own cost. 4.The summoning of the candidates for interview merely indicates that it is felt that he/she with others may be suitable for the post and conveys no assurance whatsoever that he/she will be recommended or selected or his/her conditions specified in the application will be accepted. 5. It will be open to the University not to fill up the post now advertised.

9 9 6. Any attempt, by the candidate, either directly or indirectly to influence the Selection Committee or other authorities of the University will disqualify the candidate for the post. 7. The service conditions and other terms of appointment in the University shall be subject to the approval of the Governing Council of this University. 8. Persons who are already working in State Government/University should send their applications through proper channel. Any delay in sending the applications through proper channel is not the responsibility of the University. Advance copies of the applications reaching the Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai 32 within the prescribed time limit shall be entertained provided original application forwarded through proper channel reaches the Registrar before the candidates are called for interview. 9. Defective and incomplete application and those with wrong or false information will be summarily rejected. 10. Evidence of experience and Degree/Diploma Certificate and all the testimonials should be brought in original at the time of interview and must be produced at the time of joining, if selected. Attested copies of Certificates, mark sheets, testimonials, etc., should be attached with the application. 11. The selected candidate under Direct Recruitment, shall produce, in original, the Matriculation or equivalent certificate as proof of the date of birth. No other evidence will be accepted. 12. Applications received after the last date or without complete information will be rejected.
