1 January 2017 Dear Current Parents/Guardians, All Saints Academy 2855 East Livingston Ave Columbus, OH It is that time of year again and registration is beginning for next school year. We have been working on the costs per student to educate a student for next school year. Each year we look at our costs which include all the salaries and benefits of the employees, Classroom and school expenses and needs, building maintenance and repair, Staff Development, Diocesan fees, testing fees, utilities, Technology and Library needs, building insurance, Cafeteria and Pre-School costs. Using the anticipated costs for next year an increase of 3.55% is necessary. We have worked to find ways to gain funds in order to make our tuition as affordable as possible. The cost per student fee for is $5545. Some of you receive grant money from the Ed Choice Scholarship program, others receive tuition assistance through Facts tuition assistance, and some receive assistance from your Catholic parish. It is our goal once again to make tuition as affordable as possible. We have included a flyer for FACTS Tuition assistance program. This is not a guaranteed program but anyone can apply. For those that receive the Ed Choice Scholarship program, the amount only covers $4650 of the tuition. This means that $895 tuition will need to be paid in ten monthly payments. According to the program, if you submit your low income paperwork to Ed choice and get approved, your extra tuition could then be covered. For those that indicate they qualify as participating Catholic, the pastor at your parish is the person that will approve and determine this assistance. We ask you indicate what parish you anticipate getting subsidy from. It is your job, however, to contact the pastor or parish office to get approval of the subsidy. If your pastor decides to not offer assistance, you will be responsible for the whole tuition. FYI Most parishes have a deadline to ask for subsidy. When considering tuition costs for next year, we will need to raise tuition $20 a month or $200 for next school year. If you have a balance due to the school for service hours or tuition it is important you meet your obligations. The tuition fees cover all the necessary costs to run the school including teacher and staff salaries, books, computers, utilities, building repair and upkeep, etc. For the upcoming school year, please plan the following: Early Registration packets will come home with students on Friday, January 15 Early Registration forms must be filled out completely and returned to the school office along with the discounted registration fee of $75 by Friday, February 17. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS on the discounted registration fee. Once the early registration period is over the registration fee will be $125 All Registration fees are NON REFUNDABLE and cannot be applied for other fees. If you return only a portion of the packet or the packet without the fee, your registration will not be processed. All fees are paid in cash or money order and we do not accept bills larger than $50. NOTE: If you owe for service hours, tuition, or fees for the current year, your registration will not be processed until your account is current. Note: Ed Choice enrollment window will open Feb 1 and then closes April 30. The All Saints Academy Ed Choice registration window will be Feb 1 through April 21. We need the five days after our date to ensure all applications are submitted by the Ed Choice due date. A second window will open for the first three weeks in July but this is not a guaranteed enrollment time for returning families. You must go online to our website at to begin the process. This should be done in June or July. We will then confirm and begin payments. All forms and fees are required in order to process your child s registration. If any part is not included your request for registration will be put on hold and not processed. Deadlines are determined by All Saints Academy and Ed Choice registration period for Ed Choice and Tuition families is Feb 1, 2017 through April 21, After Feb. 21, 2017, all spaces in classrooms are available to any registrant family who has turned in ALL paperwork and fees and has no balance due from the school year.

4 Agreement Form- For All Families All Families: Required to complete 30 service hours There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the school year to complete your service hours. Please watch for announcements in the Friday folder, you can also check the calendar, and on-line at I agree to complete the mandatory 30 service hours for the current school year. I am aware that any hours not completed will be charged at $15 per hour. Hours are to be completed by May 26 of the current school year. Ed Choice Scholarship Families The following guidelines are expected to be followed by anyone that is granted into this program. Any part not fulfilled will result in loss of the scholarship, and the full tuition will be applied to your family account. You must turn in All paperwork ON TIME You must pay any fees required by our school (in cash or money order only) You must complete your mandatory 30 service hours You must complete and mail in your low income request form directly to Ed Choice. Since we are a tuition based school, any tuition not covered by the Scholarship will be the responsibility of the family to pay. Monthly payments are paid through our website FACTS program. Parents/Guardians are to go to and click on the FACTS icon, follow the directions to sign up for payments. This can be used for paying Service hour fees or tuition. YOU MUST PHYSICALLY SIGN YOUR SCHOLARSHIP CHECK which arrives 3 times during the school year (around November, January/February, and March) we notify parents that checks are in through the Friday Folders and . If your check is not signed in a timely manner the amount of the check will be applied to your family account. Checks are voided by the state after a certain amount of time, so this is IMPORTANT! All Families are required to read, sign, and return this form Please print neatly: For Ed Choice Families: In signing this form it states you understand that unless you are identified through Ed Choice as Low income you are required to pay the portion of tuition that is not covered by the Ed Choice Scholarship. For all families: In signing this form and returning it, you are stating you understand the service hour and tuition requirements and the fees that may be charged. 5 All Saints Academy Tuition and fees Facts Payment system: This system is used to make payments directly from a savings or checking account for tuition and fees. The parent/guardian is to go online to and click on the Facts icon at the bottom of the page The parent/guardian is to begin filling out the required forms and pay the fee for the service The school will input the tuition due and complete the registration Payments for tuition and fees will begin being withdrawn directly to FACTS beginning August If you have any problems or questions please Michelle Susi at msusi@cdeducation.org who is our tuition and fees secretary. For Ed Choice families that need to pay the additional tuition not covered by the scholarship ($895), you must follow the same directions as above and sign up for facts. For all families who want to pay for service hour requirements up front. The fee is 30 X $15 which equals $450. If you pay in full by the first day of school you will receive a $50 discount. Service Hour payments can be made monthly or in full to the school office in cash or money order M-F 7:00 am-4:00 PM. If your child is accepted and you choose to not attend- 50% is refunded until May 6, % is refunded after May 6, 2016.) AND $30 Application/testing fee Per Child (non-refundable) Service hours All Families Each family is required to do 30 service hours over the course of the school year. The hours are due to be completed in May of that school year. Any service hours not completed are billed to the family at the rate of $15 per hour. Monthly payments in cash or money order are accepted and should be $50 per month September through May. Please note: If you have outstanding balances for service hours, books, library, cafeteria, latchkey, tuition, or check fees note that your registration will NOT be processed until your account is up to date. For 8 th graders, balances may also cause your child to not be able to attend end of the year field trips or events.
