1 DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE Report for the month of ember ALUMNI MEET Alumni Association Meet was organized on 19 th ember to refresh the memories and cherish the happy and wonderful moments spent in the college by the Alumni. The meet started with lighting of lamp and prayer song by College Choir Anna Domini followed by welcome dance. Apart from cultural programs, address by Vice Principal Rev.Fr.Richard, speech and feedback by Alumni were the other major aspects of the meet. 3 PAPER PRESENTATIONS BY STUDENTS Mr.Zakiuddin of B.Com II Honors presented a paper, A case study on National Policy for Skill Development and at ICCSR sponsored National Seminar on Development A Drive for sustainable growth in global scenario, organized by St.Pious X Degree & PG college for women, Nacharam in collaboration with Department of Commerce, Osmania University, Hyderabad on 9 th and 10 th. STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS AT INTER COLLEGIATE FESTS/COMPETITIONS It was a great honour for B.Com final year students who represented our college and bagged first prize in Knowalova-Quiz at BEMUS 15 National level Inter Collegiate Commerce Fest organized by Department of Commerce, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh on 7 th and 8 th ember.a team of 6 students Ritesh Benedict, Jeetesh Pandey, Srikanth Rowla, Shiva Rao, Vishal Patel and V.Neelkanth participated in the fest. Our students also reached finals in other competitions namely Jalapeno-Group Discussion, Mr.Genius-Case Study and Few Minutes to Fame-Personality Contest.25 colleges from all over India and 10 colleges from Vijayawada participated in the fest. 7 April study of Telangana Government Pension Scheme, Edition, ISBN No. CAMPUS RECRUITMENT TRAINING PROGRAM Placement Cell of the College in co-ordination with placement coordinators of Commerce Department, Mrs.Sumitra Pujari, Mr.Bhasker and Mrs.Aarati Samala planned and organized Campus recruitment training classes twice in a week for B.Com final year registered students from 29 th July to 3 rd ember. The college has tied up with the most reputed Triumphant Institute of Management Education Pvt.Ltd. (TIME), Hyderabad for the academic year -16. The classes were conducted by eminent professionals from the institute. The Training Programme covered 5 modules comprising of (i) Quantitative Ability (ii) Verbal Ability (iii) Reasoning (iv) Group Discussion (v) Interview Skills. Campus Recruitment Training Programme PLACEMENT ACTIVITIES Deloitte visited the campus on 1 st ember for the post of Audit Assistant and 2 students from B.Com were selected.

8 Wipro visited the campus on 9 th ember for the post of Project Engineer and 20 students from B.Com were selected.
