1 Instructions Women in Business is a branch of the Cache Chamber of Commerce and has two main purposes: Assist business and professional women by providing networking and professional development opportunities Raises funds to provide scholarships for women who otherwise could not afford to get an education. In 2017, Women in Business will be offering scholarships to: Utah State University (Logan campus) Bridgerland Applied Technology College Stevens-Henager (Logan campus) Who is eligible (For Utah State University and Stevens-Henager): Must be female, 18 or older and residing in Cache Valley Currently enrolled or planning to enroll by Fall 2017 to one of the above mentioned schools Must be majoring or minoring in a business related field Have an accumulative GPA of 3.0 Who is eligible (For Bridgerland Applied Technology College): Must be a female, 18 or older and residing in Cache Valley Currently enrolled in a BATC certificate program, or have completed admissions requirements by this application deadline date and be scheduled to begin training by the fall. Recipient must maintain a minimum enrollment of 15 hours per week. Must maintain satisfactory progress and attendance throughout enrollment. Must certify lawful presence in the US. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. The applications will be evaluated on extracurricular activities and/or community service projects, career goals, financial needs and if applicable, business classes taken. 6 Agreement I understand that my application and supporting information becomes the property of the Women in Business Scholarship Committee, and they shall have discretionary authority in all matters pertaining to this award. I understand the completed application, two letters of reference and a copy of my school transcript must be received by Women in Business by Friday, March 31, I understand that to be eligible for the Women in Business Scholarship, my GPA must be 3.0 or better. I understand proof of acceptance or current student enrollment at Utah State University Logan Campus, Bridgerland Applied Technology College or Stevens-Henager Logan Campus is required prior to receipt of funds. I certify that the information in this application is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I will be available to use this scholarship during fall semester of 2017 (or by the Fall of 2017 if attending BATC). If for any reason I cannot use the scholarship, I agree to contact Women in Business Scholarship Committee Chair, Kylie Downs, (435) , so that it can be used by another worthy applicant. I give my consent that Utah State University, Bridgerland Applied Technology College or Stevens- Henager College may release my grades to Women in Business at any time as long as I am a recipient of this scholarship, upon their request, in order that they might monitor the criteria upon which this scholarship was offered. It is the scholar's responsibility to set a good example, e.g. strive for best results, attend classes, finish the course on time and continue to demonstrate the exemplary student attributes/grades by which she was awarded this scholarship.
