1 Rockford Public School District No. 205 Administration Building 201 S. Madison St. Rockford, IL (815) For the most up-to-date Board of Education policies, list of membership, and meeting schedules, please visit the Board of Education page on FORWARD The Board of Education performs its governmental functions within the framework of the School Code of the State of Illinois and this Board Policy Manual. The Board Policy Manual provides a framework in which issues can be considered. It promotes continuity in procedure, consistency with previous actions and uniformity in decision making. These policies state the guiding principles adopted by the Board for the management of schools. From time to time, changed circumstances, new statues, court decision and other factors will make it advisable for the Board to take action which may bring about additions, deletions or alternations to the policies in this Board Policy Manual. It is important that this always be viewed as a dynamic document. This manual may be changed or modified at any time at the sole discretion of the Board of Education.
