3 Are you on track to graduate? 23 credits are required for graduation. Transfer students may have increased credit requirements based on the number of transfer credits. 17 credits are required to be classified as a Senior. If you ve lost credits due to a failing grade or attendance, you may not be classified as a Senior next year. Additionally, Dearborn Public Schools requires students to successfully complete Computer Apps in middle school or high school and complete the Michigan Merit Exam before being granted a diploma.

10 Course Offerings College Concepts For students who want to prepare for the HFC college math entrance exam and place beyond a remedial math course. If student passes this course with an A or B, they will be placed into the entry level math of their college major. Placement into College Concepts will be confirmed by HFC ACCUPLACER Exam.

13 Course Offering Elementary Teacher Cadet Students interested in teaching/tutoring reading to K-5 students Meet at ASC for one week then once per month for educational strategy learning Work in elementary school classroom for four days per week for one hour One day a week to be on-line learning Students need their own transportation to leave DHS after 5 th hour to report to the elementary school

14 Course Offering Life Sports All Girls 10 th -12 th Grade Includes: Golf, Tennis, Badminton, Power Walking, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Aerobics, Resistance Training

15 Dual Enrollment Dual Enrollment Registration will begin April 16 th. If you plan on dual enrolling for the first time you and your parent must attend the meeting March 21 st in the auditorium at 5:30. All students must circle 6 DHS classes for each semester. DO NOT CIRCLE COLLEGE HOURS on your course selection sheet. IF you meet the requirements, Dual Enrollment forms will be available when you submit your course selection sheet.

16 Work Based Learning Employers want people with experience and one way to get that is through the Work Based Learning Program This can ONLY be selected if you currently have a job Students must work 5-15 hours per week Must work in an approved site Course requirements also include weekly time cards, paycheck stubs and employer evaluations Must attend the information meeting the first week of school See your counselor for the WBL form to get the process started
