1 EASTERN REGIONAL COMMITTEE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION BHUBANESWAR Rectification on proceedings of 240 th ERC Meeting held on 19 th 20 th May, 2017 Decision of the following institutions made in 240 th meeting of ERC to be read as corrected under: Sl.No. Item No. Content ER Confirmation of the Proceedings of 239 th ERC meeting & related matter, if any, with the following ammendments/rectifications: (1) Sundaram College of Education, Plot No.4473, 4474, Vill/PO - Kusumgram, Tehsil/Taluka - Monteswar, Town/City - Burdwan, Dist - Bardhaman, West Bengal (B.Ed.-Addl. Course) (Private) (University of Burdwan) (Code No. ERCAPP3927) In 238 th ERC Meeting (Part-3) held on 18 th 20 th April 2017, it was decided to refuse under section 15(3)(b) of NCTE Act, 1993 for granting recognition of B.Ed. course. But in 239 th ERC Meeting (Part-5) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, the Committee decided that VT be constituted. The decision of the Committee for constitution of VT is withdrawn and the decision of 238 th meeting is confirmed for issue of refusal order to the institution. In 239 th ERC Meeting (Part-5) held on 28 th April - 2 nd May 2017, the Committee decided that VT be constituted but in 238 th ERC Meeting (Part-3) held on 18 th 20 th April 2017, it was already decided to refuse under section 15(3)(b) of NCTE Act, 1993 for granting recognition of B.Ed. course The decision of the 239 th ERC meeting for constitution of VT is being withdrawn and the decision of 238 th meeting is confirmed and continues and decided to issue refusal order to the institution. Howrah Sadar, Town/City - Howrah, Dist - Howrah, West Bengal (D.El.Ed.) (Private) (ERCAPP3715). In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-1) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No dated with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that the institution submitted faculty list of existing B.Ed. course instead of D.El.Ed. course, which is not relevant, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-1) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No dated with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that the institution submitted faculty list of existing B.Ed. course instead of D.El.Ed. course, which is irrelevant, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No and the decision of 239 th meeting (Part-1) is confirmed and continues. 1

In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-4) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No dated with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that original FDRs of Rs. 5 lakhs & Rs. 7 lakhs in joint mode are not submitted, which is not relevant, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-4) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No dated with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that original FDRs of Rs. 5 lakhs & Rs. 7 lakhs in joint mode are not submitted, which is already settled, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No and the decision of 239 th meeting (Part-4) is confirmed and continues. (ii) Submitted building completion certificate is not in prescribed format duly approved by competent Govt. Engineer/Authority. Intake) (Private) (Fakir Mohan University) (ERCAPP3058) NCTE Hqrs. from time to time, VTR and reply in response to LOI, the Committee discussed the matter in detail and observed as under: (i) Submitted faculty list is not duly approved by the concerned affiliating body. Cases B G Group of Educational and Research Institute, Plot No -115, 120 (Old), 180 (New), Vill- Simra (Bandh Bastauli) Mabbi, Po - Lalshahpur, Tehsil/Taluka - Bahadurpur, Town/City - Darbhanga, Dist - Darbhanga, Bihar (B.Ed.) (Private) (Lalit Narayan Mithila University) (ERCAPP28/2012) The institution was granted recognition for conducting B.Ed. course on with 100 intake from the academic session A representation dated received from Chairman of the B G Group of Educational and Research Institute seeking closure/withdrawal of recognition of the B.Ed. programme and demanded for refund of the FDRs due to illness of the Chairman. The ERC in its 237 th meeting considered the matter and issued a letter to the institution on to submit an affidavit along with Resolution passed by the Governing Body of the Trust/Society. In response, the institution submitted reply vide letter Reference No. 29(SP)-2017 dated with an affidavit, copy of resolution and death certificate of earlier Chairman Late Kamal Prasad Singh. Now, the present Chairman Mrs. Gouri Singh requested to withdrawn the recognition of B.Ed. course and refund the FDRs. The recognition granted to the institution for B.Ed. course on with 100 intake from the academic session be withdrawn. Existing students will continue their academic session and no admission will be allowed from the academic session and FDRs will be return to the institution. The institution was granted recognition for conducting B.Ed. course on with 100 intake from the academic session A representation dated received from Chairman of the B G Group of Educational and Research Institute seeking closure/withdrawal of recognition of the B.Ed. programme and demanded for refund of the FDRs due to illness of the Chairman. 4

5 The ERC in its 237 th meeting considered the matter and issued a letter to the institution on to submit an affidavit along with Resolution passed by the Governing Body of the Trust/Society. In response, the institution submitted reply vide letter Reference No. 29(SP)-2017 dated with an affidavit, copy of resolution and death certificate of earlier Chairman Late Kamal Prasad Singh. Now, the present Chairman Mrs. Gouri Singh requested to withdrawn the recognition of B.Ed. course and refund the FDRs. The request of the present Chairman is accepted and the recognition granted to the institution for B.Ed. course on vide Order No with 100 intake be withdrawn from the academic session Existing students will continue their academic session and no admission will be allowed from the academic session and FDRs will be returned back to the institution. 5
