1 APPLICATION GUIDE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS GRADUATE PROGRAMS All documents have to be in Turkish or English. If not, they must be translated into Turkish or English and then uploaded as copies of the original ones to the application system. Original copies are to be submitted upon acceptance at the registration process. Online Application Link: ATTENTION: Candidates must upload the PDF files of the documents listed below to the online application page. Diplomas and the transcripts with more than a page must be uploaded as a single PDF file. 1. Application Form: The application form must be filled out online. 2. Letter of motivation: Please write an essay (English or Turkish) stating your purpose, reasons, and motivation as to why you want to study in your preferred programmes ( words). 3. Copies of diploma and transcript: Copy of diploma or certificate of graduation with transcript and the Turkish or English translation. (No translation is needed for diplomas received in Turkey). Phd applicants are required to upload copies of their Bachelor s Degree diplomas and transcripts too. 4. Diploma Equivalency Certificate: Required for the programs of the Health Sciences applied on patients. 5. Foreign Language Exam Result or Certificate (YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL, PTE, TESTDAF, DELF etc.) Applicants who prefer the programs are required to submit the copy of this certicate. The Master s Degree programs those require a foreign language proficiency are listed in the programs table. English proficiency certificate shall not be required from applicants applying from countries with English as official language or those that have graduated from schools with English as full teaching language. (IELTS scores are not accepted). 6. Reference letters: Please submit two reference letters (in Turkish or English) obtained from two different instructors from your current or former educational institution. 7. One photograph: Photographs must be taken within the last six months; it must reflect the entire view of the face and enable easy recognition. Otherwise such applications will be rejected. 8. Copy of passport: Applicants are required to send a copy of the passport's page with the photo. It does not have to be approved. The candidates residing in Turkey are required to add the copy of the Residence Permit. 9. Application Fee (180 Turkish Lira): The candidates must pay an application fee online with credit card or deposit the fee to the below mentioned bank account. Money order, cahier s check or cash payment are not acceptable.

Physics 5 5 Food Engineering 2 3 a) Those who have graduated from one of the departments of Food Engineering, Milk Technology, Chemistry Engineering, Bioengineering, Molecular Engineering of the Faculties and Advanced Technology Institutes and Genetics, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition and Dietetics of Schools or Faculty of Health Sciences, any department of Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Fisheries, Environmental Engineering, Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering or Faculty of Veterinary can apply. b) Those who have not graduated from the Department of Food Engineering must attend the Scientific Preparation Program. a) Those who have baccalaureate diploma from the Department of Food Engineering can apply. *Foreign language exam result is obligatory for this department

4 Civil Engineering 3 - Statistics 5 5 : Graduates of Civil Engineering Bsc. can apply. : Graduates of Civil Engineering Msc. Can apply. *Foreign language exam result is obligatory for this department a) Those who have graduated from one of the departments of Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Mathematics Engineering, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering, Electric and/or Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering can apply. b) Those who have not graduated from the Department of Statistics must attend the Scientific Preparation Program. a) Those who will apply for or after Bachelor Degree must have a Bachelor Degree or diploma from one of the departments of Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Mathematics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering, Electric and/or Electronic Engineering. b) Those who do not have a Bachelor Degree or diploma from the Department of Statistics must attend the Scientific Preparation Program. *Foreign language exam result is obligatory for this department

5 Chemistry 5 5 a) Those who have graduated from one of the departments of Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering, Chemistry Education, Pharmacy and Biochemistry can apply. Those who have graduated from one of the departments of Physics Engineering, Physics, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Food Engineering or Textile Engineering must attend the bachelor degree courses according to their field of study besides compulsory courses. a) Those who have a Diploma from one of the departments of Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering, Chemistry Education, Pharmacy and Biochemistry can apply. International Students Acceptance and Enrollment Instructions for Graduate Programs are taken into consideration and in addition to this, those who have a Bachelor Degree Diploma from the Department of Field Crops or any department under the scope of Plant Production Program or any other department relating to study fields of the Department of Field Crops can apply provided that they accept to attend to the Scientific Preparation Program stated in Ç.U. Directive for Graduate Studies Article 6 before beginning to study a Graduate program in our Department. a) Conditions stated in Ç.U. International Students Acceptance and Enrollment Instructions for Graduate Programs are taken into consideration and also those who have a Diploma in the Department of Field Crops can apply.
