29 1) IF-EF "FUTURESYRIA": "Mapping an uncertain future : Social and spatial change in conflicting Syria" Host: ER from: Objective: To explore and understand territorial and social changes occurred in Syria since 2011, based on local contexts and focusing on local situations: o interrelated movements of people (Internally displaced people and refugees); o logics and impacts of destructions; o local dynamics of warfare. Production of original maps, at different scales by collecting: o local data through interviews with people inside Syria (via skype) and refugees outside; o information through social networks and open data (newspaper, reports from NGOs, International agencies, satellite images). Project start date: 01/09/2015 (24 months) EU contribution: 0.2 million

30 2) ITN-ETN "GRACE": "Gender and Cultures of Equality in Europe" Objective: Investigate cultural production of gender equalities within Europe Innovative and interdisciplinary methodologies Next generation of ESRs equipped to: o o o play a leading role in developing advanced techniques for investigating the production of cultures of gender equality; translate creative and critical capacities into innovative cultural practices within and beyond academia; take up positions as experts in producing new gender equalities cultures.
