Recipients will be selected on the basis of academic achievement and demonstrated leadership with preference given to students with a demonstrated interest in the mining industry. Established in 2011 by Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. Wellington West Business Improvement Area Award Value $1,000. Awarded annually, on the recommendation of the School for Studies in Art and Culture/Music, to an outstanding music student in the performance stream. Application is required and eligible recipients must demonstrate financial need. Recipients may be invited to perform in a community event hosted by the Wellington West Business Improvement Area. The recipients will have demonstrated financial need, must be Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person), and must meet OSAP's Ontario Residency requirements. The recipient must be of good character and be likely to make a contribution to Canada and its citizens by breaking ground in business, politics, academia, or not for profit organizations. in 2010 through the generosity of The Chelsea Club and in recognition of the Club s 84 years of history of service to the Ottawa community. Ameer Jinah Memorial Award Awarded annually to a deserving student entering or proceeding from one year to another in any program of study at Carleton University. Recipients will have demonstrated financial need, must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrants or protected persons), and must meet OSAP's Ontario residency requirements. in 2006 in memory of Ameer Jinah by friends and colleagues in recognition of his dedication to academic excellence. Eligible cash donations raised by institutions are matched by the Province.
