Most students prefer this method, allowing for a high-level of interaction with CTC pastors and trained facilitators in a classroom setting, resulting in greater retention of material through discussion and review. **Independent Study Format: Students study at their own pace independently and do not attend a study group session. Students have 6 months to complete each course enrolled in without penalty. 2 08 - Term Course Descriptions Title Z Number of Chapters CEUs Ministry Study Track Level Book of Acts: Holy Spirit At Work In Believers Z Chp. 5 CEUs Level Believers and ministry leaders desiring to understand historically how the work of the Holy Spirit turned the world upside down (Acts 7:6) through the faith of believers in the Early Church. A thorough study of the content, purposes, principles, and applications of Acts. The course emphasizes the role of the Holy Spirit in the early church and today. Attention is given to the geographical, numerical, cultural, and theological growth of the church from Jerusalem to Rome. The journeys of Paul are examined as the background for his epistles. Prison Epistles Z Chp. 5 CEUs Level Believers wanting to grow their understanding of practical truths applicable to daily life and to believers in a church family. A practical study of the principles Paul wrote to believers in the Early Church during his imprisonment. The concepts are presented in language that is easy to understand with explanations, illustrations, and applications that make the concepts helpful to students in both their personal lives and ministries. Introduction to Pentecostal Doctrine Z Chp. 5 CEUs Level Believers wanting to fully understand the foundational doctrines of our Christian faith. Know and understand key doctrines of scripture and be able to share and defend them. This provides examination of the four cardinal doctrines of the Assemblies of God: salvation, baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing, and the second coming of Christ. After an introductory unit on the importance of doctrine, there is a unit of study on each of the doctrines. This course is essential to the further understanding of the complete Pentecostal message as presented in other courses. Ministerial Internships* Z Chp. 5 CEUs Levels,, MINISTRY STUDENTS ONLY * Ministry leaders seeking credentials and who have completed all courses in each respective level of the Ministerial Study Program. Get equipped! These three required internships for the Ministerial Studies diploma, helps the student develop the right attitude for ministry. It examines characteristics to be avoided and tests to be passed in the life of a minister. It further focuses on public aspects of ministry, such as teaching, preaching, and leading meetings. The personal life of the minister, including time management and personal health are also discussed.
