6 Bad Weather Arrangement LSGI Departmental Orientation Session 2013 A. Tropical Cyclone Warning Arrangement Signal No. 1 or 3 Departmental Orientation Seminar will be held as scheduled. Signal No. 8 or above Annex 2 Contingency If Signal No.8 or above is announced to be hoisted likely or is hosted within 2 hours from the commencement of activities : Departmental Orientation Seminar will be postponed to 7 th September 2013, Saturday (one week later) at the same scheduled time in the same venue (Tentative). Before or at 12:00noon - Departmental Orientation Seminar will be held as scheduled. If Signal No.8 or above is lowered: After 12:00noon - Departmental Orientation Seminar will be postponed to 7 th September 2013, Saturday (one week later) at the same scheduled time in the same venue (Tentative). If Signal No. 8 or above hoisted during Departmental Orientation Seminar will continuous unless activities: otherwise announced by University. Note for Attention: Announcements made by the Education Bureau are not applicable to the University.

7 B. Rainstorm Warning Arrangement Amber Warning Lab Tour/ Departmental Orientation Seminar will be held as scheduled. Red Warning Lab Tour/ Departmental Orientation Seminar will be held as scheduled unless the University announces the suspension of these activities. Black Warning Between 12:00noon and 2:00pm Warning Issued Departmental Orientation Seminar will be postponed to 7 th September 2013, Saturday (one week later) at the same scheduled time in the same venue (Tentative). Before or at 12:00noon Warning Cancelled Departmental Orientation Seminar will be held as scheduled. Warning issued during activities: As advised by the Government, people should take shelter in a safe place, the above activities will continue unless otherwise announced by the University. If the warning is still in force when the above activities end, you are advised to stay on campus for your own safety until the warning has been cancelled or the traffic conditions have improved. Air-conditioning will be maintained whenever practicable while the warning is prevailing. You should contact the Campus Security Control Centre at telephone no for assistance when necessary.
