7 School Day Sixth Form café is open for students to use between 9.15 and 2pm Can use cash or debit card Sixth Form offices are located next to the Common rooms Allowed to go out for lunch, but must sign out at Sixth Form If students arrive late, they must sign in at the Attendance Office 8.40am Registration 9.00am Period am Period am Break 11.20am Period pm Period pm Lunch 2.00pm Period pm End of the School Day
8 Year 12 Timetables Students have 9 timetabled hours per subject Sixth Form study periods also on timetable GCSE Maths re-sit classes are timetabled Football, Cricket and Performing Arts Academies have allocated hours Period 5 privilege is available from Monday 18 th September All students have been ed a copy

11 Use of Study lessons 3 Sixth Form study rooms are located around the school School library Departments will also have break-out areas that they will supervise Students have access to these facilities at any time, up until 6pm Failure to turn up to an allocated study period will be treated the same as missing a lesson
12 Attendance Our gates close at 8.30am. Students arriving late must arrive through the late gate, then register with Mrs Jones (Attendance Officer) Late Consequence 5 lates over a half term A letter home and a 20 minute lunchtime detention 10 lates over a half term A letter home and a 40 minute lunchtime detention 15 lates over a half term Parents invited in for a meeting with Attendance Officer and Pastoral Manager
13 Period 5 privilege Study leave form - With parental consent, students are allowed to leave early, IF their Period 5 is free. All students have completed a 2 week trial Students attendance will be monitored and privilege will be removed if: Students are consistently late to school Students fall behind in their studies Poor behaviour Parents wish
14 Getting Into Year 13 A - D Grade Automatic progress into Year 13 U - E Grade Unable to continue on particular course. Students provided with careers advice and support. Possibility to re-sit the year on an alternative pathway
15 Sixth Form Bursary Available to students in Year 12 and 13 For financial help with school equipment / trips Combined family income is less than 21,000 Bursary application forms can be picked up from the Sixth Form office It must be completed by 29th September 2017 Handed in to Mrs Dunn
16 Uniform Full details are included in Student Handbook If unsure, students are encouraged to be proactive and speak to a member of the Sixth Form Team
17 Enrichment Enrichment opportunities include: 1) Subject Support 2) Sixth Form PE 3) Sixth Form Council 4) Peer Mentors 5) Paired Readers 6) Charity Events 7) School Events
18 Driving Lessons & Part Time Jobs Driving lessons Students are only allowed to have driving lessons during Period 5 if they do not have a lesson Cannot book lessons during the school day All students who have a car will need to speak to Mrs Dunn to register and collect permit Part-time jobs We encourage the skillset, money and experience students gain from having a job, but students cannot miss school for work
