To receive your feedback regarding proposed tuition and fee rates effective for new students starting Fall 2018 and Fall This plan DOES NOT affect any currently enrolled students. Being considered are changes to rates for tuition and mandatory fees only. Rates are capped at 12 hours at UTRGV. Any hours above 12 remain free.

4 Tuition and Fee Plans at UTRGV The Basics Changes apply only to NEW student rates Current students are locked in at their current rate. 4 of 13 4 year guarantee UTRGV guarantees tuition and mandatory fees, not just tuition 12 hour cap This provides an instant rebate for any credit hour above 12

5 Why a tuition and fee increase? 5 of 13 Reductions in state appropriations $12M per year New academic programs Transportation Increase in student support (advisors, work study, need-based aid) Increase in faculty and in seat availability Operation of new facilities
