Applicant Eligibility International students who meet the Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine Course eligibility requirements given in the Rakuno Gakuen University Graduate School Admissions Guidelines, as well as meet the following conditions, may apply. Please be aware, however, that no applicant will be considered who has not first consulted with a supervisory faculty member in the relevant research field. The applicant is not a Japanese citizen and satisfies conditions a. or b. as well as c. Doctoral Course The applicant is a citizen of a country other than Japan and has either completed a six year course of study in veterinary medicine at a university outside of Japan or holds a

3 masters degree awarded by a university outside of Japan. The applicant is recognized, via the individual applicant screening process performed by the graduate school, as possessing academic ability at least equivalent to a university graduatewho has completed a six year course of study in veterinary medicine, medicine, dental medicine or pharmaceutical sciencesand will be 24 years old by the date of admission. The applicant has received or is eligible to receive status of residence as a Student in Japan as specified in the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act. Masters Course The applicant is a citizen of a country other than Japan and has completed 16 years of formal education. The applicant is recognized, via the individual applicant screening process performed by the graduate school, as possessing academic ability at least equivalent to a university graduate and will be 22 years old by the date of admission. The applicant has received or is eligible to receive status of residence as a Student in Japan as specified in the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act. Please submit a copy of both sides of this card. Letter of Guarantee Please use either English or Japanese to fill in university prescribed form the universityprescribed form. Your photograph must show the upper half of your body from the front, without any head covering and against a blank background. Please provide one photograph which was taken within the three months prior to submission of your application.snapshots and blurry photographs are not accepted.please write your name on the back of the photograph and then affix the photograph in the prescribed section of the application form. Selection Method Applicants will be screened and selected based upon the documents they submit. If it is deemed necessary, additional documents or information may be required of applicants on a casebycase basis. A facetoface interview or written examination may also be required of applicants. Caution about foreign students working parttime Students who intend to do parttime work whilst studying at our university, are first required to familiarize themselves with general knowledge about Japanese society and customs, with the support of the Extension Center and/ or a faculty member. Students must complete this familiarization period which takes at least three months. They can then apply for parttime work.

6 Entrance Examination Fee: 30,000 Put your admission application, photo sheet, entrance examination fee receipt, and entrance examination fee transfer request forms together. Fill in the information required, take it to a financial institution, and make an electronic payment. Please note that cash, postal transfer, check, etc. are not acceptable forms of payment. Confirm that the stamp of the financial institution where you paid is noted on the Photo Sheet. The stamp must be present to prove that you have paid your entrance examination fee. Be sure to keep your entrance examination fee receipt. It serves as verification in case your admission application, examination admission ticket, etc. fail to arrive. Note that no refunds are provided on entrance examination fees once they have been paid. See page 49 for payments made from overseas locations.
