Designation Pay scale Qualification Senior Scientist and Head Essential + RGP 9000 a) For Disciplines other than engineering subject Doctoral degree in Agriculture subject including relevant basic sciences with 8 years experience in relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band of ` with Grade pay of `00/`6000/`7000/`8000 having made contribution to research/teaching/extension as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact b) For Engineering disciplines Doctoral degree in relevant Agriculture engineering subject with 6 years experience as Scientist /Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band- of ` with grade pay of `00/`6000/`7000/`8000 having made contribution to research / teaching / extension education as evidenced by published work / innovative and impact. OR c) Master s degree in the relevant agriculture engineering subject with 0years experience as Scientist / Lecturer / Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band of ` with grade pay of `00/`6000/`7000/`8000 having made contribution to research / teaching / extension education as evidenced by published work / innovative and impact. d) Desirable: Specialization in implementing extension education programmes. Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection) post RGP 00 Essential: Master s degree in Agriculture (Plant Protection) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university Subject Matter Specialist (Agriculture Extension) post RGP 00 Essential: Master s degree in Agriculture (Agril. Extension) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university Stenographer Grade III Post Essential: th Class pass or equivalent from recognized RGP 00 Board/University () Professional Efficiency: The candidates will be given one dictation test in English at 80 w.p.m for 0 minutes. The candidates who opt to take the test in English will be required to transcribe the matter in 0 minutes on computer and the candidates who opt to take the test in Tamil will be required to transcribe the matter in 6 minutes on Computer
