Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the Athletic Director to attend the Annual State Conference, Directors of Athletics Association of NJ in Atlantic City, NJ on March 13-16, 2017, at a cost not to exceed $1, b. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the revised Evaluation Practice Instruments for athletic coaches and assistant coaches. c. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the fee schedule for the Adult School students taking the High School Equivalency Exams at the New Brunswick Adult Learning Center, for the period March 1, 2017 through December 31, d. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the Director of Bilingual/ESL Education, Supervisor of ESL/World Languages, WL Specialist, seven (7) District ESL and Bilingual Teachers, to attend the NJTESOL/NJBE 2017 Spring Conference to be held on May 31, June 1, and 2, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, at a cost not to exceed $1,990. e. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the use of W-APT (Kindergarten) assessments and WIDA Screener (Grades-1-12) as a measure of a student's English Language Proficiency in Grades K-12, at no cost to the district. f. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education authorizes the Business Administrator to discard damaged/irreparable school kitchen equipment for Livingston Elementary School, Lord Stirling Community School, New Brunswick High School, New Brunswick Middle School and McKinley Community School. g. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves Johnson's Restaurant Equipment, Inc. to provide a reach-in freezer at a cost of $4, and a reach-in refrigerator at a cost of $3,750.00, for the kitchen at Lincoln Elementary School, for a total cost not to exceed $8,649. h. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the residencies and master classes provided by the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company, during the SY, at a cost not to exceed $16, Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education authorizes Lincoln Annex School to apply for the Fun Run Grant, for use during the SY. 3 j. *Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education authorizes Lincoln Annex School to accept the donation of the 2017 Glowfest Fitness from New Brunswick Tomorrow during the SY, in the amount of $1,200. k. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the partnership with the City of New Brunswick and Rutgers Art in Medicine Society to create and install a mural at Lincoln Annex School, at no cost to the district. I. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education authorizes the Business Administrator to discard damaged furniture and equipment at Livingston School. m. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the purchase of forty-eight (48) LEGO Mindstorm EV3 Kits for New Brunswick Middle School Robotic classes from LEGO Education during SY, at a cost not to exceed $17, n. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education authorizes the Business Administrator to discard damaged furniture and equipment at Roosevelt School. o. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves Educational Services through New Jersey Reading Recovery Network for certified staff members at Woodrow Wilson School for the SY, at a cost not to exceed $900. p. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the additions to the New Brunswick Public Schools list of approved Field Trip Destinations. q. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the implementation of the Law Enforcement Collaborative program for grades 10 and 11 during for the SY. r. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education hereby approves that a moratorium be imposed on the approval of any application to expand or create any charter school in Middlesex and/or Somerset County until such time as the NJDOE analysis can be properly completed and the results of which can be shared and discussed with the public. s. Revised Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the revised Schedule of Public Board of Education Meetings for the remainder of the SY. t. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the Acting Assistant Business Administrator to attend professional development seminars offered through NJ Association for School Business Officials over the period of January 21, 2017 through May 10, 2017, at a cost not to exceed $1,050. * Denotes change/addition

Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the Director of Facility Design & Construction to attend professional development seminars offered through Rutgers Continuing Studies Department at a cost not to exceed $726. v. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the out of state additional district tuition contracts for the SY. w. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the proclamation of "Read Across America" a national celebration of Dr. Seuss's 113 th birthday to promote and engage students in programs and activities to make America's children the best readers in the world to be celebrated on Thursday, March 2, x. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the Memorandum of Agreement between New Brunswick Board of Education and New Brunswick Education Association and Salary Guides for the period July 2016 through June y. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves the Memorandum of Agreement between the New Brunswick Board of Education and New Brunswick Cafeteria Worker's Association for the period July 2016 through June z. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves NJ Virtual High School to provide credit recovery for New Brunswick students during the SY, at a cost not to exceed $6,000. aa. ab. ac. ad. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves AFA Protective Systems Inc. for the installation of the burglar alarm system for the trailers located at New Brunswick Middle School, for the SY, at a cost not exceed $9,795. Revised Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves Newton Metallo for the repairing of proprietary heating and air conditioning at Lincoln Annex School for the SY, at a cost not exceed $17,000. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves Sweetwater Sound Inc. for the purchase of stage and audio equipment for Lincoln Annex School for the SY, at a cost not to exceed $11,320. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves Sherwin Williams for the purchase of materials and supplies for various projects district wide for the SY, at a cost not to exceed $17,000. ae. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves one (1) District employee to attend professional development offered through Rutgers Center for Government Services on March 11, 18, 25, 2017 and April 8, 2017, at a cost not to exceed $473. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves one (1) District employee to attend Unify Administration Certification webinars offered through Performance Matters from February 21, 2017 through April 25, 2017, at a cost not to exceed $1,750. Revised Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves Warshauer Electric Supply Company, Inc. to provide electrical parts and supplies for repairs for the SY, at a cost not to exceed $30,000. Resolution - The New Brunswick Board of Education approves Hutchins HVAC Inc. to repair the HVAC units at various schools, for the SY, at a cost not to exceed $17, Finance Committee Report - Mrs. Patricia Sadowski, Chairperson Approval of February 21, 2017 Finance Report 16. Resolution for Closed Session WHEREAS, the Open Public Meeting Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 provides that certain matters of a public body may be discussed in closed session; and WHEREAS, the Board of Education intends to discuss matters as follows: 1. Personnel Matters 2. Matters of Attorney/Client Privilege NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the aforesaid subjects shall be discussed in closed session by this Board of Education and administrative staff, and the minutes of said closed session discussion will be made available to the public when the reasons for the nondisclosure in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act no longer exist.
