3 EDUCATOR CERTIFICATION The Internatinal League f Christian Schls ffers teacher certificatin. The ILCS Teacher Certificatin Prgram prvides prfessinal certificatin fr qualified educatrs desiring t pursue a ministry in Christian educatin. Additinally, fr teachers wh have been trained in secular universities and desire t acquire cnfidence in biblical instructin are encuraged t seek ILCS certificatin which includes cursewrk in Biblical Philsphy f Educatin, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, and Life f Christ. Nearly all f ur curses are ffered fully nline and many can be used t renew state teacher credentials (check with the ILCS ffice fr verificatin). A Temprary Certificate will be issues with a letter indicating the areas f deficiency. The teacher can fulfill the areas f nn cmpliance and resubmit fr a credential upgrade. If a teacher des nt fulfill all required areas within the 3 years f certificatin, a Temprary Certificate may be renewed nce fr an additinal three years. A temprary certificate MAY NOT be renewed mre than nce. 12 APPENDIX Christian schls are distinct frm public schls in a lt f areas. Hwever, there exists n mre significant distinctin than Biblical instructin. ILCS schls adhere t a basic belief that the Bible is the hinge upn which the dr f all knwledge must swing. Unfrtunately, a teacher cannt impart what he r she des nt pssess. It is the desire f this agency, as has been demnstrated and required thrugh the teacher certificatin prcess, that all teachers pssess prficient understanding f scripture and basic dctrine. T the end, ILCS has created several ways thugh which a teacher may gain this knwledge. These prgrams are significantly helpful fr teachers wh have been trained in secular universities where frmal instructin in Gd s Wrd is ften nt taught. T meet the Bible requirement teachers can pursue the fllwing: FORMAL COLLEGE COURSEWORK A teacher can enrll in any f the AG universities fr Bible curse credit. ILCS has frged partnerships with bth Sutheastern University (Lakeland, FL), and Suthwestern Assemblies f Gd University (Waxahachie, TX). Transcripts sent by clleges/universities may delay the prcess. All transcripts submitted separately are kept n file fr 6 mnths and then destryed if an applicatin has nt been sent.
