Before current students are directed to individual areas within Enrollment Management, they should first be directed to One Stop Student Services. 4 associate provost UAB ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT OFFICE OF THE ASSOCIATE PROVOST FOR ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT Associate Provost: Dr. Brent Gage Hill University Center 531 (Relocating to AB 374 is early July) The Office of the Associate Provost for Enrollment Management is responsible for the following: Oversight of all enrollment management functions, including undergraduate admission, registrar, international recruitment and student services, new student programs, processing operations, financial aid and scholarships and marketing communications for prospective students as well as current student communications as it pertains to Enrollment Management. registrar OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR Registrar: Tina Collins 1605 Building The Office of the Registrar is responsible for the following: Applications for degree Forgiveness forms Residency (Undergraduate) Exception to policy (Undergraduate) Academic room scheduling Undergraduate Catalog GPS Degree Audit Pre-requisite overrides for non-degree students Posting of credit for Alternative Credit Exams (CLEP, DSST, AP, IB, Credit through Prior Learning and Credit by Portfolio, military credit) Registration Academic Records Class Schedule

7 veterans VETERAN RECRUITMENT & STUDENT SERVICES Coordinator: Walter Stewart Hill University Center 531 (Relocating to The Smolian House in May) Veteran Recruitment and Student Services is responsible for the following: Recruits veterans and their dependents to UAB Attending community events involving veterans Assists veterans and their dependents with VA educational benefits Builds and maintains relationships with all military education counselors Processes and distributes advance payments Reports all enrollment changes of VA students Providing Student Accounting with list of Voc Rehab and POST 9/11 students Maintains and makes available all VA student records for inspection by VA and the State Approving Agency Knowledgeable on current VA Rules Assists VA Certifying Official from other schools for dual enrollment of VA student Assists VA students with ANGAP, Tuition Assistance, Alabama GI Dependents Scholarship, and Work Study questions Supports current students that are veterans or their dependents in various situations international INTERNATIONAL RECRUITMENT & STUDENT SERVICES Director: Philip Perkins The Smolian House International Recruitment and Students Services is responsible for the following: Recruiting international students to UAB International student advising (F-1 student advising, Optional Practical training, cultural issues, info sessions/orientations) Work visa (H1-B) and green cards processing and advising, some J-1 visa advising Tax advising and preparation J-1 advising and processing, some H-1B work Admissions communications, some international transfer recruitment

8 operations ENROLLMENT OPERATIONS Executive Director: Chenise Ryan Hill University Center 218 (Relocating to th Ave. S. in April) Enrollment Operations is responsible for the following: Back-End work study processing Financial aid scanning and tax transcript/verification entry Transcript/enrollment/degree requests Ad-hoc registrar letters Transient request processing Change of processing (name, citizenship, address, contact information) Undergraduate Admissions Application processing for freshman, transfer, post-bacc (degree/non-degree), readmit, transient, temporary, concurrent/dual enroll International Undergraduate Admissions Application processing Transfer coursework posting testing TESTING CENTER Program Manager: Cathy Shelton-Kimbrel Hill University Center 470 (Relocating to th St. S in June) testing@uab.edu The Testing Center is responsible for the following: Institutional Exams - Residual ACT, COMPASS, CLEP, DSST, MAT National Exams - ACT, APTTP, GRE Subject Exam, LSAT, NBEO, PRAXIS, SAT Placement Tests - English, English as a Second Language (ESL), Math
