3 PURPOSE & METHODS This study was conducted in order to gather demographics of the Central Student Government at the University of Michigan for the school year. The data in this report is compared with data of the overall University of Michigan student body demographics with a focus on ensuring that the Central Student Government reflects an appropriate representation of all demographics within the University of Michigan. This survey was administered from November 1st, 2017 to November 20th, It was sent to a total of 68 CSG Representatives, which include all elected Representatives of the CSG Assembly, all appointed members of the Executive Team, and all Executive Commission Chairs. 52 responses were received, providing a response rate of 76.5%. We should note that in this report, we did not receive an 100% response rate.the results we report are not fully representative of the true demographics of the Central Student Government. Yet, the number of responses is sufficient to qualify these results as significant. 2

9 GREEK LIFE INVOLVEMENT The University of Michigan indicates that 21.01% of the undergraduate population is involved in the Greek Community, which includes the Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Panhellenic Association.
