All her educational programmes are aimed at producing graduates who are fully equipped for the service of God and humanity. The University was established in October 2002 by the 2nd President of Kenya, His Excellency Hon. Daniel T. Arap Moi, who is also the Chancellor. This was as a result of his visionary idea of setting up a Christian University that would meet the demand for higher education in Kenya by offering quality education based on strong Biblical moral principles. Chapel Services Kabarak University as a Christian institution centres her activities on the worship of God Almighty. The Chapel with a seating capacity of 1,500 provides a vital venue for spiritual growth for students, faculty and staff.
