2 Overview Specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery will find this course provides a contemporary dialogue about craniomaxillofacial reconstruction. Faculty will discuss both pediatric and adult pathology, including the management of trauma and tumors. Faculty will use a case-based approached when presenting topics, emphasizing surgical decision making and clinical outcomes. Topics include fixation and implant choices, and the prevention and management of complications. Panel discussions and the integration of an audience response system will foster colleagial debate and faculty-audience interaction. Target Audience This one day continuing medical education event is designed for practicing physicians and residents specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery who desire an update in the surgical techniques and technologies available to improve patient outcomes. Objectives Upon completion of this course, the physician should be able to: 1. Delineate care algorithms for the surgical management of facial trauma and tumors in children and adults. 2. Evaluate clinical studies and patient outcomes associated with craniofacial reconstruction. 3. Assess steps to prevent and manage intra- and post-operative complications. 4. Relate how reconstructive techniques and device applications are relevant to your patient population and may improve patient outcomes. Should you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so 48 hours in advance of the arrival date, or you will be charged the cancel fee of one night s stay. Ample, complimentary self-parking is available. Driving Directions The Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center is located off I-90, exit 9/Sturbridge. After the toll, merge onto I-84 west. Take the first right exit 3B onto Route 20 west. Turn left at first stoplight onto Route 131. Follow Route 131 for about 4 miles into Southbridge.
