Worksheet, quiz and brief / detailed laboratory report, etc. are all acceptable. However, writing detailed reports is definitely a good training. Most reports were satisfactorily marked. To enhance assessment for learning, assessment criteria/written feedback can be provided where appropriate. 2 S6 (2013 Exam) Requirements S6 (2013 Exam) Requirements Minimum number of Assessment per student Experiments (EXPT) Physics 2 (13%) CS(Phy) 1 (5%) There might be School Repeaters, Switching of Courses / Transfer Students for S6 submission. Requirements are the same as those for normal S6 students. For details, please see Chapter 2 of the SBA Teachers' Handbook. 5 6 Task/Expt Titles to be entered in the system Maximum number of task/expt titles that can be entered in the system Per EXPT field Physics S6 5 CS(Phy) S6 5 Assessment marks for each student should come from the task/expt titles entered in the system. 4 Promoting Classes Expand Classes > Promote Classes Teachers are required to use the same software in which the S5 mark has been entered to promote the class before entering the S6 marks

Then batch input the language medium in the excel column. 21 Lastly, copy the excel column and paste onto the respective column of the SBA Software. 22 Input SBA marks Points to note before submission Procedure SAME AS S5 submission Subject Teacher to create Teaching group and enter SBA Marks generate Reports and Charts, and export Mark Data File Subject Panel to consolidate SBA Marks and view all SBA Marks generate Reports and Charts, and export Mark Data File (whole school) 23 Formal approval from HKEAA is required for exemption of SBA marks. If a student has fulfilled the minimum requirements, exemption is not required. No need to enter any symbol in the respective mark cell(s). Student name / document number (e.g. HKID) entered in the SBA software should be the same as those registered in HKDSE. If a student has changed his/her name/ document number after S5 SBA mark submission, amend them in the SBA software according to those registered. 24

7 Submit Mark Data File Submit Mark Data File The procedures are similar to those performed in S5 submission. Check and confirm the accuracy of the marks before submitting the Mark Data File

8 The file is displayed in the list awaiting the Principal s endorsement as below. Submit Student Work Submission of Student work through Online Services Marked work of 6 students, chosen by the HKEAA, is to be submitted. Only those pieces of work with marks submitted are required. The work for each student should be zipped to one single file if the work contains more than one file. Please note that the Student Work file for each student should be less than 10Mb. Please note that if the work for a student contains only one file, there is no need to perform the zipping procedure. The system can accept files of any common extensions. 31 Student Work File name convention: [Subject Abbreviation] [(6-digit Student Document Number)].[File extension] e.g. PHYS(123456).zip PHYS(362880).pdf CSPHY(246800).doc The Student Document Number is shown in the Mark Summary Sheet. In fact, it comes from the beginning 6 digits of the identity document of a student. e.g. HKID No. = K362880(1), the document number is then Then upload the Student Work through the Online Services. The system can only store 6 Student Work files. Procedure similar to uploading Mark Data File. 32

9 Points to note for Student Work Only student work with marks submitted to HKEAA are required to submit If need scanning, advise students to use A4 paper to do their homework. If one or two reports were lost, mark in the first page of the student work file, e.g. Chan Tai Man has lost report #2 and #5. Attach questions/guidelines, if any, in the student work file for the convenience of checking by District Coordinators. Student List for SBA Work Submission is NOT required. SAMPLE If the work of any chosen student cannot be located, or involves any irregularities (such as mark penalty being imposed due to plagiarism or late submission), please report to the HKEAA ( ) and request for a change of student(s) for work submission. Please generate the Student List for SBA Work Submission by selecting Reports and Charts > Student List for SBA Work Submission in the menu of the SBA Software. Then fax the Student List and the Percentile Table to the HKEAA at for replacement. After confirming the arrangement, the HKEAA will fax an amended version of the Student List to the school.
