12 II. ELIGIBILITY: (a) FULL-TIME: Candidate with Master s Degree in the relevant subject with not less than 55% of marks or 5.51 in Grade point average scale under CBCS. The candidates who have qualified for the Master s Degree prior to , with not less than 50% of marks, are also eligible to register for M.Phil. Programme in this University. SC /ST candidates are given 5% exemption from the prescribed minimum marks. (b) PART-TIME: Any citizen of India, irrespective of their employment status, who wishes to pursue M.Phil. programme are eligible to register under Part Time Research, provided they fulfill the eligibility norms,(eligibility conditions are the same as Prescribed for Full Time) APPLICATION FORM: The common application form will have to be used to get admission in any of the above listed subjects and institutions (Full-time & Part-time). WHILE FILLINGUP THE FORM, THE CANDIDATES SHOULD ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES: 1. Item No.2: Write the numerical code number and name of the subject in the appropriate box. 2. Item No.3: Specify the name of the College in which you wish to pursue the M.Phil. Programme. 3. Item No.6 to 8,11 &12:Place an X mark against the appropriate boxes. 4. Item No.9: FIP means Faculty Improvement Programme and PT means Part-time. Place an X against these boxes appropriately. Enter the Post Graduate and Under Graduate teaching experience in years against the boxes UG & PG. 5. ItemNo.10: HSS means Higher Secondary School, Govt. means Government and Oth means other organization. Place an X against these boxes appropriately. Enter the years of experience in the respective cadre under the box EXP. 6. Item No.11&12: Provide evidence/ Proof. PG Degree: Enter the total of maximum marks and the total of marks Scored by you for all the papers (including Internal Assessment and Project) under the columns Max and Scored respectively. If you have passed all the papers in the first attempt, enter 1 (One) and if you have passed them in more than one attempt, enter the total number of attempts (including the first appearance as 2/3/) under the column Attempt. UG Degree: Enter the total of maximum marks and the total of marks obtained by you in Part-III papers (aggregate only) under the columns Max and Obt.And enter the name of the College and University one below the other, under the Columns College and University. If your results are in grades, convert them into marks and make the entries; attach a separate sheet to provide the conversion details. If you are unable to convert, give the grade details in a separate sheet.

13 Application forms can be had either in person or by post from the REGISTRAR, BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY, PALKALAIPERUR, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI by submitting a requisition letter and a Demand Draft for Rs.500/- (Five Hundred Only) or Demand Draft for Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) for SC/ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on Production of Xerox Copy of the Community Certificate. The Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY, payable at TIRUCHIRAPPALLI on or after The cost of Application fee (Rs. 500/- or Rs.250/-) should be enclosed along with the Downloaded filled in application forms. For paying through online visit and enclose the online receipt along with the application. The completed application form is to be submitted to BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY, TIRUCHIRAPPALLI - THE REGISTRAR, and the duplicate application form is to be submitted to the Principal of the College/Head of the University Department concerned, on or before the date noted at the end of the prospectus. The University reserves the right to suspend any of the above Programmes without prior intimation if the circumstances so warrant. One set of attested copies of all the Semester Mark Sheets / Consolidated Mark Sheets (UG & PG), Community Certificate (SC/ST/MBC/BC) and Service Certificate (for Part- Time) are to be enclosed along with each copy of the application form.
