Comparison Groups: Alumni of Care & College Graduates Given the CCS s emphasis on serving alumni of care, we compare respondents who identify as alumni of care with all other respondents. Since the needs of students currently enrolled in postsecondary education and those who have already graduated are likely to be different, we also compare respondents who are currently enrolled in postsecondary education with those who have already graduated with their bachelor s or advanced degree. Of the 240 respondents who registered for the CCS, 17% (n=41) identify as Passport Scholars and 13% (n=30) as Governor s Scholars. As a result, approximately 30% of registered participants are alumni of care. In turn, 26% are college graduates (n=63), while 70% are college freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors (n=169). Of the 125 respondents who took the pre-assessment, 14% (n=18) identify as alumni of care. In proportions similar to the registration data, 66% (n=83) of pre-assessment respondents are currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university, while 27% have already earned a bachelor s degree (n=31) or graduate degree (n=3). 1
