2 ABOUT US The Prince Dr. K. Vasudevan College of Engineering and Technology is one of the reputed Engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu. The institution is at Ponmar which is located between Medavakkam and Mambakkam Main Road. The institution was founded on 1st July 2009 by Dr. K.Vasudevan, a prominent educationalist and philanthropist. As a perfect institution of learning, Prince Dr. K. Vasudevan College of Engineering and Technology follows an admission strategy that sturdily favours merit, and it enables access to education for students from all strata of society. Within a short period, this College has grown into the zenith level in Chennai. The college has an excellent infrastructure and the campus spreads over 30 acres and with built up area of 18,913 square meters. It is housed with splendid buildings with abundant infrastructure such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, canteen, hostels, etc. The college provides transport facility that covers the width and breadth of Chennai. The team of qualified faculty members dedicate themselves to ensure that the students are moulded into competent engineers to face the global challenges of the country. The college is putting its best effort in executing the social responsibility of shaping around 1400 students at the rate of 360 maximum intakes per year. An exclusive training program for 15 days is being arranged every year for all branches. This program is conducted by experts who aid the students to compete confidently in the selection process.

4 Guest lectures: Students and Faculties participating in the guest lecture given by Dr.Mohan,CEG,Anna university SPECIAL TRAINING IN CNC MACHINE: The management has taken more interest in nourishing modern technology to the students by procuring CNC machines. Practical training is being given effectively to the students by experts in the CNC Training centre and CNC Vertical milling machine to acquire knowledge on Part programming and machine operation. The students are exposed to all kinds of machineries and equipments in our work shop

5 MOTIVATIONAL SCHEMES The branch which produces the highest pass percentage is being rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 4 lakh and this amount is distributed to I, II, III and final year meritorious students University rank holders are rewarded with a cash prize of Rs every year. RESULT TRENDS A continual improvement is achieved since 2009 and currently the college has secured 57th rank among 506 affiliated colleges in Tamil Nadu. Also, the college has achieved 14th place among the city engineering colleges.
