No. 002/Estt Applications along with a bank draft of Rs 200/- in the name of Registrar, Dav University, Jalandhar, are invited for the following posts so as to reach the Registrar, DAV University, Jalandhar by :- 1. Deputy Controller of Examination Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/- plus allowances Master s Degree with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) or equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University: and (i) Nine years as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6,000/- and above with experience in educational administration, (ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of Higher Education, (iii) Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post i) Working knowledge of examination software and result automation. ii) Adequate experience in the pre-conduct and post-conduct of University examinations or other comparable examinations. iii) Adequate experience in admission and examination process and maintenance of students records. iv) Ph.D v) Operational knowledge of Computer and Internet.

Deputy Registrar Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/- plus allowances Master s Degree with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) or equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University: and (i) Nine years as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6,000/- and above with experience in Educational administration, (ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of Higher Education, (iii) Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post. i) Operational knowledge of Computer & Internet etc. 3. Director Public Relations Pay-Band: Rs ,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8,600/- plus allowances i) Post Graduate with 55% marks with 10 years of adequate experience as Correspondent/Senior Correspondent in well known media organization (electronic or print). ii) Ten years of experience as PRO/APRO in any University or a Govt./PSU/Corporate Sector organization or 10 years experience in the editorial department/centre of any established newspaper, National News Agency, Radio or Television or Film media. iii) iv) Proficiency in English, Hindi & Punjabi. Should have pleasing personality, good communication skills & knowledge of computer applications etc

3 4. Public Relations Officer i) Master s Degree in Public Relations/Mass Communication and Journalism with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale. Master s Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent and PG Diploma in Public Relations/Mass Communication and Journalism. ii) Five years of experience as PRO/APRO in any University or a Govt./PSU/Corporate Sector organization or 5 years experience in the editorial department/centre of any established newspaper, National News Agency, Radio or Television or Film media. iii) iv) Proficiency in English, Hindi & Punjabi. Should have pleasing personality, good communication skills & knowledge of computer applications etc 5. Assistant Registrar Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/- plus allowances Master s Degree with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) or equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 point scale along with good academic record thereof from a recognized University: i) Operational knowledge of Computer & Internet etc. ii) Expertise in typing/data entry iii) Experience of handling files and administration in academic institutions with 5 years experience as Superintendent or in responsible capacity.

Private Secretary (PS) to VC i) Post Graduate with 55% marks having 2 years experience of shorthand/drafting letters/reports with expertise in computer typing ii) Proficiency in working in MS Office, use of internet, etc i) Graduate with experience of minimum 5 years as Private Secretary/Personal Assistant with knowledge of shorthand/drafting letters/reports with expertise in computer typing. i) Proficiency in working in MS Office, use of internet, etc. 7. Accounts Officer Essential i) Post Graduate in Commerce/Management in Finance with 55% marks with 10 years experience of handling accounts. i) Knowledge of auditing of accounts ii) Knowledge of computer/internet iii) Those with professional qualification will be preferred. 8. Superintendents (Administration, Accounts, Establishment) Master s Degree with at least 55% marks with 05 years of relevant experience. i) Operational knowledge of Computer & Internet etc. ii) Expertise in typing/data entry iii) Experience of handling files and administration

5 9. Hostel Warden (Female) Post Graduate with minimum of 55% marks in any subject with ten years experience in relevant field/handling girl students. 10. Hostel Superintendent (Female) Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 3800/- plus allowances Graduate with minimum of 55% marks with five years experience of handling accounts & files. 11. Assistant Director Physical Education Pay-Band: Rs AGP of Rs. 6000/- plus allowances i) A Master s Degree in Physical Education or Master s Degree in Sports Science with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is follows) with a consistently good academic record. ii) Record of having represented the University / College at the inter-university / inter Collegiate competitions or the State and /or national championships iii) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. iv) Passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations. v) However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for appointment of Assistant Director of Physical Education. vi) Physical fitness test norms will be as prescribed by UGC.

Assistant Librarian Pay-Band: Rs AGP of Rs. 6000/- plus allowances i) A Master s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. ii) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. iii) However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for appointment of Assistant Librarian. 13. System Analyst B.E/B.Tech. in Computer Engg. with two years experience in computing MCA (Full Time) with 2 years experience in computing M.Sc. (I.T/C.S) with 5 years experience in computing M.Tech. with 1 year experience in computing 14. Networking Administrator Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- plus allowances i) MCA/BE/B.Tech./M.Sc.(Informatics/Computing) or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline. ii) MCSA or MCSE iii) CCNA or CCNP-Cisco Certifications

Personal Assistant (PA) Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- plus allowances i) Graduate having knowledge of shorthand with expertise in computer typing. ii) Proficiency in MS Office, use of internet etc. iii) Minimum 5 years experience as Steno Typist 16. Receptionist Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- plus allowances i) Graduate with proficiency in English, Hindi & Punjabi ii) Should have pleasing personality iii) Should possess good communication skills and knowledge of computer application etc. 17. Sr. Assistants Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 4400/- plus allowances Graduate with 5 years relevant experience. i) Operational knowledge of Computer & Internet etc. ii) Expertise in typing/data entry iii) Experience of handling files and administration in academic institution. 18. Steno Typists Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 3200/- plus allowances i) Graduate with knowledge of shorthand and computer typing ii) Proficiency in MS Office, use of internet etc. iii) Minimum 2 years experience as Steno Typist.

Security Officer Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- plus allowances i) Graduate with minimum 5 years experience in a recognized Govt./Educational institute as Security Officer Retired J.C.O/Non-Commissioned Army Officer/Police Officer above the rank of Head Constable with experience of 5 years as Security Officer. ii) Operational knowledge of computer/internet etc. 20. Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator/Store Clerk Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 3200/- plus allowances i) Graduate with proficiency in computer application ii) Proficiency in using internet iii) Minimum 2 years relevant experience. 21. Workshop Instructor Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay Rs. 3800/- plus allowances i) B.Tech. or 3 years diploma after matriculation with minimum of 5 years experience in workshop. ii) Knowledge of computer/internet. 22 (a) Laboratory Attendant Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay Rs. 3200/- plus allowances B.E/B.Sc./BCA/DOEACC - `A Level / 3 years Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering with 2 years experience.

9 (b) Workshop Attendant Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay Rs. 3200/- plus allowances B.Tech or 3 years Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering with 2 years experience. (c) Library Attendant Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay Rs. 3200/- plus allowances B.Lib./Diploma in Library Science with 2 years experience Electrician/Sub-Station Attendant/ Pump Operator/Plumber/Carpenter Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- plus allowances Matric with ITI in relevant trade from Govt. Recognized Institute with 2 years experience. 28. Driver (LTV & HTV) Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/- plus allowances 8 th Standard passed. Essential: i) Possession of a valid driving license of the motor vehicle, knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle). ii) Minimum 3 years experience as a Driver.

10 29. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Pay-Band: Rs Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- plus allowances Matric with ITI in relevant trade from Govt. Recognized Institute with 2 years experience. NOTE: 1. Qualifications, pay scales & other conditions etc. can be changed by the Management, if so desired. No. of posts will be decided and filled by the Management depending upon the requirement. The Management also holds the right not to fill any of the posts. 2. The retired persons can also be considered for the service on contract with salary as `last pay drawn minus `pension. 3. Separate applications along with Demand Drafts are required for each post.
