1 WELLINGTON OPEN DAY PROGRAMME 2007 Friday 24 August Entrance A, Wallace St, Mt Cook TO GET EQUIPPED FOR YOUR FUTURE - START HERE Te Kunenga ki Pürehuroa
2 MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR Kia Ora and welcome to Open Day 2007 at Massey University Wellington. It is one of the highlights of our year as we enjoy seeing so many prospective students with your families and friends supporting you as you make decisions about your futures. Our Wellington Campus is distinguished by being a niche provider of focused excellence in specific areas of teaching and research. We work closely with business and industry and the arts community and focus on career opportunities for our graduates in a rapidly changing, and increasingly borderless, global economy. Change is an integral part of your education development and you will find the campus changes with you as we continue an on-going refurbishment and enhancement of our facilities to match our teaching and research programmes for our students and staff. We pride ourselves on being a friendly campus and our location close to the heart of the city provides you with easy access to the wide range of cultural, sporting, entertainment and leisure activities for which Wellington is renowned. Open Day is our way of introducing you to the possibilities for your future education and careers. Our staff and students are available to discuss your interests, academic programmes, potential careers and student life. Please enjoy yourselves, get around the campus and participate in the activities available. I hope you will decide to enrol with us next year and become a member of Massey University s vibrant, exciting and stimulating community. Profesor Andrea McIlroy Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Wellington 1
