1 1. Interested institution: University of Haifa 2. Brief Description of the Institution The University of Haifa was founded in Today it is home to more than 18,000 students and a teaching staff of over 2,000 divided over various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in 7 faculties: Natural Sciences, Education; Humanities; Law; Public Heath ; Social Sciences and Mathematics and faculty of management, and 7 schools: Business Administration, Marine Science, Social Work, History, International school, criminology and Political Sciences. Research is concentrated in centers and institutes on a wide variety of subjects and fields. Among them: study of psychological stress, information processing and decision-making, evolution, the Holocaust; maritime studies, natural and environmental resources, shipping and aviation, the family. Research facilities include The Jewish-Arab Center, Herzl Institute for the Study of Zionism and Israel, Study of Crime, Law, and Society, Study of Pilgrimage, Tourism and Recreation; Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Emotions; International Brain and Behavior Research Center; Center for Democratic Studies; Center for Law and Technology; Center for Research of Education for Peace; Center for National Security Studies and Geostrategy. IBM put up its largest research center outside the US on the Haifa campus. A high percentage of the research at the University is carried by a core staff of around 600 scholars and scientists out in the context of about 60 research institutes, centers and laboratories, strongly geared towards interdisciplinary projects. University of Haifa has a large, modern and well-stocked central library housing over two million books and documents in countless different languages and boasts the largest online collection in Israel of electronic databases and e-publications. The library is openaccess and has multiple computers to assist faculty, students, visiting scholars and others.

Research / Project Description The University of Haifa currently has over 40 funding projects under FP7 and Horizon2020, and maintains more than 100 international agreements with universities in the EU and elsewhere in the world. The Research Authority will ensure communication between EU and HU, guarantee budgetary compliance and provide grants management, all essential components for execution of a successful study. 5. 4 1. Interested institution: Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) ( 2. Brief Description of the Institution The Institute for Higher Education in the Negev was founded by the residents of Beer- Sheva and the Negev during the early 1960s, utilizing instructors from other academic institutions in Israel to provide post-secondary education in Beer-Sheva. Continuous efforts to convince the government to establish a full-fledged university in the Negev, the southern region of Israel, bore fruit on November 9, 1969, when Yigal Alon, then Minister of Education and acting Prime Minister, announced that the Government had decided to build and support the University of the Negev. In November 1970, the first meeting of the Board of Governors took place, and the Institute for Higher Education in the Negev became the University of the Negev. The University was formally accredited by the Council for Higher Education (CHE) in 1973 and, after the death of David Ben-Gurion, Israel s first and legendary Prime Minister, it was officially renamed Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). The University has five campuses: (a) three in Beer-Sheva: the Marcus Family Campus (the main campus), the David Tuviyahu Campus (formerly Beit HIAS) and the David Bergmann Campus (b) one in Sede Boqer, which includes: the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, the Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies and the Ben- Gurion Research Institute for the Study of Israel and Zionism (c) and the University s newest campus in Eilat, established in The Eilat Campus offers B.A. & B.Sc. and M.A. & M.Sc. degrees in several disciplines. Approximately 700 students are currently studying there.

All Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions have a bottom-up approach, i.e. research fields are chosen freely by the applicants. Projects can range between months. Brief Description of the Institution Established in 1955, Bar-Ilan University (BIU) is today Israel's largest university with a total undergraduate and graduate student enrollment of more than 34,000 at its main Ramat Gan campus and six regional colleges. With more than 1,600 senior and junior faculty members, BIU has achieved an international reputation for academic and research excellence, especially, but not limited to the fields of archaeology, bio-medicine, brain sciences, cancer, communications and information security, cognitive sciences, marine biology, magnetism and superconductivity, multilingualism, nanotechnology and advanced materials, and renewable energy. Bar-Ilan offers high-level academic studies and the development of advanced research, placing a premium on cross-discipline research. Brief Description of the Institution Technion Israel Institute of Technology Technion - Israel Institute of Technology is the first established university in Israel since it's corner-stone in For more than eight decades it has been Israel s primary technological university the largest center of applied research and one of the world top research universities. The impact and achievements of the Technion and its graduates have brought Israel to the forefront of high-level technology, and have knowledge and innovations worldwide. The Technion have 3 Nobel prize laureates. The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology offers degrees in science, engineering and related fields such as Architecture, Medicine, Industrial Management and Environmental studies. Great emphasis is also placed on its humanities and social science programs as well as multidisciplinary degrees such as Nano-sciences energy etc. The Technion actively promotes the European Charter for researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers, the Technion was awarded the HR logo in May Since Israel signed the first association agreement in the year 1996, the Technion participated in more than 250 FP projects. 3.
