Performs journey level administrative and clerical support duties-within the Maintenance department. Work is differentiated from the level I because of the variety of tasks, the knowledge and skills required, and the range and scope of contacts and independence of action. Work requires a broader understanding of office operations, but once learned, the tasks are performed independently. Unusual situations or precedent setting situations are referred to higher level support staff. Work is supervised by a higher level administrative support supervisor or professional level supervisor or director and is reviewed through observation, review of work performed, and conferences. classified in-service application. An assessment of relevant computer/bookkeeping proficiency skills will be administered as part of the selection process. Performs administrative and clerical support duties as Lead Secretary in a school with a variety of work tasks including bookkeeping and providing leadership to other clerical staff. Work is differentiated from the II level because of the decisions made in performing the variety of tasks, the knowledge and skills required, and independence of action and judgment exercised in the work. Work requires a broader understanding of the entire school system, with more detailed knowledge of the functions, policies, processes, and procedures of the unit and work activities. Bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency and prior experience in transportation dispatch preferred. Serves as the designated transportation office liaison to the transportation information management system which houses a variety of transportation records, activities and information. Work in this class involves keeping and maintaining a variety of technical applications and programs based on the transportation information or records. Work requires computer literacy and the ability to follow instructions given for the operation of the computer hardware and software to effectively transmit and compile the required data and information. Electrician Wednesday, April 13, 2016 Pay Grade LD (starting at $2,844 monthly) Graduation from high school supplemented by course work in electricity, and four years of electrical experience making the candidate eligible for a Department of Labor issued Journeyman's card. Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license. A candidate possessing a state certificate or contractors license in the trade area preferred. Performs journey-level electrical work in the installation, and repair of electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, panel boxes, and other electrical devices and controls. Work is performed in varying weather conditions, often at moderate heights utilizing ladders and at times will require continuous heavy physical activity. The candidate will demonstrate the physical ability to perform at this level. Work is reviewed during and at completion for adherence to codes, standards and established good work practices. Food Services Supervisor Trainee Child Nutrition Department Pay Grade 59 (starting at $2,122 monthly) Graduation from High School, plus two (2) years of experience in Food Services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The Food Services Supervisor Trainee participates in a one-year training program designed to provide the skills necessary to manage a school-system cafeteria. Training includes extensive on-the-job training, whereby the Food Services Supervisor Trainee might oversee, with assistance from a Food Services Supervisor or Manager, an assigned cafeteria for extended periods of time. Training/Support is provided on hiring and training staff, assigning duties and tasks, monitoring work, ordering food and supplies, completing reports and paperwork necessary for compliance requirements. The trainee will participate in all functions of the kitchen staff assignments to include cashier, prep cook, cook and/or serving. Work involves knowledge of dietary requirements and rules and regulations of the school system or other agencies. Special Requirements: Possession of a valid North Carolina driver s license; Ability to pass a drug test; Ability to pass a criminal background check; Hold a valid CFC certification Perform journey-level HVAC work in installation and repair of commercial chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, other associated equipment, and control systems. Scope of work also includes, but is not limited to: leading a team, assigning work to semi-skilled workers, inspecting work of semi-skilled workers, assisting other skilled HVAC mechanics, working in varying weather, and working at varying heights.
