46 TIPS for Surviving this time Take care of yourself. Make time to relax and decompress (beach, coffee with friends, funny movies, playing with your dog, etc.) Strive for healthy balance in your life. You will need time for academics, college applications/scholarships, friends, family, activities, work, exercise, rest. Don t spread yourself too thin! Don t compare yourself to your friends, siblings or peers. You do not have to share your college list or decisions with others. This is a private process; know who your support system is and access it!
47 TIPS for Surviving this time Pace yourself with the application process. Set aside time daily to work on brag packets, applications and essays so you can put your best self forward. Create a calendar to manage deadlines. Keep the college admission process in perspective. Believe it or not, this will likely not be the most important decision you ever make. Many colleges could work for you in different ways. You are not choosing a soul mate for life, but rather the place to start your higher education.
48 Don t lose sight of the goal Do something today that your future self will thank you for tomorrow
