The research group, in line with an ongoing archiving systematisation, has been organizing a five-year international contest for the collection of documentaries selected firstly by the members of the working group and then by an international jury. The research focus on the representations within the unpublished documentaries collected through the competition. Scientific research supervision is carried out by Tommaso Fabbri. Cesare Zavattini research team According to a line of communication with the Zavattini Fund hosted by the Panizzi library in Reggio Emilia, the research team is working on a cross-reflection on the documentary productions of Cesare Zavattini and, specifically, my research address deals with the relationiship between the film narrative of fiction and the narrative of ethnographic reality within the documentaries, with a particular gender perspective.
