7 Announcements TEAM students must pay attention to twice the amount of details as most students. You will be enrolled at 2 separate schools with 2 different sets of rules! Repetition of important information at the A&M New Student Conferences and Blinn College Advising Days is both intentional and essential to your success.

8 Announcements Your top priority is to register for Blinn courses. Blinn courses are usually filled by the end of June. At A&M you only need 1 course so course availability is NOT a problem. You may have to be flexible about that that 1 course will be.

9 Announcements Freshmen with College Credit: Submit your community college transcripts to both A&M and Blinn ASAP Dual Credit cannot be awarded from a high school transcript.

16 Plan A Full Admission by Transfer Research intended major, determine prerequisite courses DO NOT postpone Math & Science Transfer after only 2 semesters is possible for some majors not Business, Engineering, Biomedical Science, and others Historically, 1/4 of TEAM freshmen transferred after 2 semesters Plan to attend Blinn summer school next year to become more competitive After starting in TEAM, only Blinn and A&M courses will satisfy TEAM admission requirements (no hometown summer school) Meet regularly with an A&M Advisor

18 What is my Major? Major defined: A subject or field of study chosen by a student to represent his or her principal interest, and upon which a large share of the student s efforts are concentrated Your A&M major while participating in TEAM is TEAM You will not declare a specific, degree-granting major until you are fully admitted at A&M, but you should be narrowing your choices and eventually follow the curriculum for your desired future major At Blinn you may be asked to declare a Blinn major in the event you decide to pursue an Associate Degree Blinn doesn t have the same majors as A&M choose something related to your desired major at A&M

19 There are 150+ majors at A&M 65-85% of all college students change their majors during their academic careers! Academic Advisors are available to assist

20 Access to Majors It is possible for TEAM students to graduate from any A&M college and department, but some are more challenging to enter than others Plan ahead.

43 TEAM Terms & Conditions Guaranteed Admission Successful completion of the TEAM Program academic requirements guarantees full admission to Texas A&M University but does not guarantee admission to a particular college or major.

47 TEAM Terms & Conditions GPA Calculation A Grade Point Average (GPA) will be calculated at each institution Grades for all transferable Blinn courses are used in the computation Grades reported as Incomplete are computed as F until replaced with a final grade Only grades for A&M and Blinn courses count toward completion of the TEAM academic requirements

48 TEAM Terms & Conditions Timely Completion Students must complete the TEAM academic requirements by end of 1 st Summer Session, 2018

49 TEAM Terms & Conditions Removal from TEAM A TEAM student removed from the program for academic or disciplinary reasons will not be permitted continued enrollment at A&M, and will not be guaranteed full admission to A&M. A TEAM student removed from the program may continue at Blinn College at the discretion of Blinn College officials.

50 TEAM Terms & Conditions Removal from TEAM A TEAM student may be removed from the program for not following the enrollment guidelines (minimum 12 hours, one solid academic course at A&M, etc.). A TEAM student who is in good academic standing (GPA> 2.0), but is not projected to successfully complete the program requirements, or qualify for transfer admission, may be removed from the program. Student progress will be evaluated after freshman year Sophomores will be evaluated at the end of the third semester
