13 Health Insurance Sign-Up Enrolment Condition Statutory Student Health Insurance Proof of health insurance (or a certified exemption) is compulsory for enrolment at the RWTH Aachen University. You need to present proof of health insurance coverage as part of your enrolment documents. As a service, INTAC provides an opportunity to sign up for public health insurance (or apply to for an exemption) with our partner Techniker Krankenkasse (TK). The TK Health Insurance Sign-Up session takes place during our Welcome Meeting on 27 September 2017 Check your Admission Attachment 13

14 German Language Course Completion of A1.1 German Level If you have no German language knowledge MME-CAME students need to complete an A1.1 German language course as part of their curriculum. You can take the A1.1 German language course either in your 1 st or 2 nd semester: Winter Semester starting in October 2017 Summer Semester starting in April 2018 Check your Admission Attachment Self-responsibly select an A1.1 German language course from the semester course offerings by the RWTH Language Center (Sprachenzentrum) according to your academic schedule. Different A1.1. German course time slots are available. Course fees do not apply for the A1.1 German language course. Registration and Course Offerings 14

15 German Language Course Exemption/Waiver If you already hold an A1 certificate Students are eligible for an exemption from MME-CAME s A1.1 German language course if they can show proof of equivalent German knowledge. The following certificates are accepted only: Goethe Institute Certificate A1 or higher TELC Certificate A1 or higher. Check your Admission Attachment The RWTH Language Center s Service Point will approve the abovementioned certificates and forward the results to the Central Examination Office. Please note: No certificates can be approved in September or October. Appointments for accreditation of certificates start in November. 15

16 P2P-Mentoring Student Community Form Voluntary Service Our Senior Mentors are experienced RWTH International Academy Students In order to participate in our Peer-to-Peer Programme (P2P), send us the completed and signed Student Community Form before 30 June 2017, by post or ! (Don t forget to tick the boxes!) Mentor Matching and Exchange will happen during the second week of July. No Student Community Form = No P2P-Mentoring Check your Admission Attachment 16
