2 Choosing the Institute and the Course : The MM Group comprises three Universities and one Institute (an Integrated Campus). All the Institutions under the MM Group have a number of courses in various disciplines. Before filling up the Admission Form, the candidate is required to select the Institute in which he/she intends to pursue further study. The candidate is then supposed to choose the course in which he/she wants to seek admission. For example, the candidate who has passed Matric with Science and English can opt for 3-yr Diploma Course in Engineering ; 10+2 with Non-Medical can opt for any of the Technical Courses viz. B.Tech, BBA, BCA, BHM, B.Pharm; and those who have passed 10+2 with Medical can opt for MBBS/BDS, B.Sc.(N), BPT and so on. Out of the courses offered in this booklet except for those for which a separate prospectus has been prescribed, the candidate can apply for upto a maximum of four courses at any one University/Institute in one Admission Form. 3 Maharishi Markandeshwar Group How to apply: The admission form can be obtained from the Administrative Office of the respective University/Institute on a payment of Rs. 900/- ( US$ 30 incase of NRI/Foriegn Nationals). Those who want the Admission Form by post, should send DD of Rs. 950/- in favour of Registrar of the concerned University/Institute. The Admission Form can also be downloaded from the website of the concerned University/Institute. However, such candidates will have to enclose a DD of Rs. 900/- with the downloaded Admission Form. Important Instructions for filling up the Admission form : 1) The Admission Form for admission to the course, duly completed in all respects, must be accompanied with the following documents: (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) (h) (i) A Recent Passport size photograph should be pasted at the space provided on the Admission Form with two additional copies to be appended with the Admission Form. Attested copies of Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate or a Certificate of its equivalent examination showing the candidate s date of birth. Attested copies of having passed/appearing in qualifying examination duly attested by the Principal of the School/College/Institution last attended. Character Certificate reporting on the inter personal/social behaviourial pattern of the applicant issued by the School/College/Institution last attended by the candidate. Certificate of SC/ST/OBC/PH/ESM for statistical information or for getting the benefit of relaxation in age or marks in the qualifying examination or for reservation of seat at MMU Solan and MMU Sadopur-Ambala, wherever applicable. iginal Migration Certificate from the Board/University last attended (to be submitted at the time of admission or within 15 days from the date of admission). The candidate must mention his/her and their Parent s Phone/Mob. No. and address at the space provided in the Admission Form. Any change in the contact number / address must be intimated to the Admission Office. Certificate of Himachali for claiming seat under reserved category for Himachali's at MMU Solan. Certificate of Haryana resident for claiming seat under reserved category for Haryana resident at MMU Sadopur-Ambala. Note : The candidate should intimate, on the proforma enclosed, the result of the qualifying examination and the result of AIEEE/MAT/GATE Score (in the case of admission to B.Tech/ MBA/ M.Tech.Course respectively) immediately on its declaration, if not already submitted. Documents to be brought at the time of Counselling: After submission of Admission Form, the candidates are required to report for Counselling on the date and time indicated against each course provided in the Prospectus and bring with them the following original certificates for admission to the course concerned :-

Migration Certificate (To be submitted at the time of counselling or within 15 days from the date of admission). Affidavits against ragging to be submitted at the time of Counselling. One set of attested photocopies of the above documents except Migration Certificate. Other important instructions for admission : 1) Admission Forms which are incomplete or without copies of the requisite documents or received late, are liable to be rejected. 2) All Admissions are made provisional subject to their Registration with the University concerned/ Examining Body after completing requirements as per rules/ordinances of the respective Examining Body. 3) A candidate, who does not report for the Counselling in person on the date of Counselling as already notified, shall forfeit his/her seat. 4) The fee is to be deposited at the time of Counselling. 5) There will be no rounding of percentage of marks for determining the eligibility for admission to various courses. 6) The admission to B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA will be made on the basis of merit of AIEEE/GATE/MAT /qualifying examinations, as the case may be. 7) In case two or more candidates in merit list have equal percentage of marks, the marks obtained in the next lower or qualifying examination will be taken into consideration for determining the merit. In case there is still a tie, the candidate senior in age will be given prefrence. 8) Foreign students should submit equivalence certificate of their qualifying examination from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi ( 9) NRI seats will be filled up only from bonafide NRIs and their children/wards. 10) If a student fails to attend his/her classes continuously for seven days from the date of commencement of the classes or from the date of admission, his/her admission shall be cancelled. 11) All disputes relating to admission of students or refund of fee etc. will be subject to Ambala Courts or courts having jurisdiction at Ambala. 12) The candidates who have passed their examinations from any fake University are not eligible. In case it is revealed at any subsequent stage that any candidate has sought admission to any course of the University/Institution on the basis of the examination passed by him/her from any fake University, his/her admission shall be cancelled without any notice. The list of fake

5 2011 Universities is available on the website of the UGC or from the Academic Section of the respective University. 13) The Admission Form received late will not be considered. The University/Institute will in no way be responsible for delay or loss of Admission Form, or Correspondence pertaining thereto, in postal transit or through courier services. 14) Candidate is to specify the name of the course to which the Admission is sought on the envelope in which Admission Form is sent. 15) Admission Form has to be sent/submitted to the ADMISSION OFFICE of the respective University/Institution at Mullana-Ambala/Kumarhatti-Solan(HP)/Sadopur-Ambala/Ramba- Karnal. 16) In case of refund of Fee admissible under the rules, a deduction of Fee will be made as under: (i) Within 15 days of Rs.1000/- Admission (ii) After 15 days Proportionate upto amount of Fee. (iii) After No Refund.

(3 -Year) The candidates should have passed 10th (Matric) Examination with at least five subjects including Science, Mathematics and English as Compulsory subjects from a recognized Board/University. Admission against 75% open seats and 25% management seats (including 15% seats if any, for children/wards of NRI's) will be made on the basis of merit of the qualifying Diploma in Engg B.Tech (with any of the above Branches) Diploma in Engineering (Lateral Entry) (6 Year Integrated) (2 -Year) The candidates should have passed 10+2 Examination with Minimum 50% marks in PCM (45% in the case of SC/ST candidate) with atleast five subjects at +2 level from a recognized board. Admission to M.Tech courses will be made on the basis of GATE Score/ Academic merit of the qualifying examinations. * Part-time (M.Tech.) course with additional seats is of 2½ year duration M.Tech (Structural Engg.) The candidates should have passed with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in aggregate in B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engg. or its equivalent examination from any recognized University. Regular M.Tech. students having valid GATE score will be paid Rs. 3000/- P.M. and others will be Rs. 2000/- P.M. 19. M.Tech (Bio-Technology) The candidates should have passed with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in aggregate of B.Tech or its equivalent degree in the discipline of Engg./ Medical/ Dental/ Pharmacy or M.Sc. in all branches of Science or equivalent examination from any recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates with B.Tech Bio-Tech, Chemical Engg. & M.Sc. Chemistry & Biological Sciences. Non-Medical students will also be required to undergo a pre-requisite course in the discipline to be arranged by the University. 20. M.Tech (Nano Science & Technology) The candidates should have passed with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in B.Tech. or equivalent Degree in any discipline of Engineering or Medical/Dental/Pharmacy or M.Sc. in Physical or Biological Sciences or equivalent. 21. M.Phil Computer Science Physics Chemistry Maths English Management Commerce (1-Year) The candidates should have passed Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks in the case of Scheduled Castes candidates) or equivalent from a recognized University. Note: Entrance Test will be held on at AM in the concerned Department /Institute. Entrance Test will tentatively be based on the syllabi of Master's degree courses in relevant disciplines in Indian Universities. Admission to this course will be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Test to be conducted by MM University followed by interview. Entrance Test AM Interview followed by Counselling AM 22. M.Sc. (Physics) B.Sc. (Hons) in concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized University. Admission to these courses will be made on the basis of merit of the qualifying M.Sc. (Chemistry) B.Sc. in full subjects with (Hons) in concerned subject, obtaining at least 50% marks in aggregate of Hons examination from any recognized University. 24. M.Sc. (Mathematics) B.Sc. with concerned subject securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized University.

(Pharmaceutical Chemisty) BA with Mathematics as one of the main subjects (for M.Sc. Mathematics only) securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized University. Note: Chemistry will be considered as the concerned subject for admission to M.Sc Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Admission to these courses will be made on the basis of merit of the qualifying M.Sc. (Bio-Technology) 50% marks in aggregate in B.Sc-Biotechnology or equivalent degree in the discipline of Engg/ Medical/ Dental/ Pharmacy/ Nursing. or B.Sc. in any Branch of Sciences. Preference will be given to the candidates with B.Sc.-Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences from any recognized University. Non-Medical students will also have to undergo a prerequisite course in the discipline to be arranged by the University. 27. M.A. (English) The candidates should have passed BA (Hons) examination in English with 45% marks in aggregate from any recognized University. Have passed BA/B.Sc. examination in full subjects obtaining atleast 45% marks in the subject of English from any recognized University. Any other examination recognized for admission to MA Course with at least 50% marks in aggregate and have passed English as one of the subjects in one year or all the three years from any recognized University. 28. MCA The candidates should have passed Bachelor's Admission to 75% open seats Degree of minimum 3-years duration with and 25% management seats minimum 50% marks(45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects at level from any recognized University. Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3-years duration (including 15% seats if any, for children/wards of NRI's) as also seats remaining vacant after first counselling will be made on the with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category)in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects from any recognized University. BCA Degree of minimum 3- years duration with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) from any recognized University BCA BCA-MCA (5-year Integrated) The candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) with atleast five subjects including Maths as one of the subjects from any recognized Board or University. Note : The candidates of BCA-MCA (5-year Integrated course) will have the option to move out with a degree of BCA after passing 3 years of the course. Admission to these courses will be made on the basis of merit of the qualifying BHM&CT (4-Year) The candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) with Admission to 75% open seats and 25% management seats (including 15% seats if any, for
