NMU s National Academic Award is automatically awarded, regardless of need, to first-time, full-time freshmen who have a recomputed grade point average of 3.0 or higher and a composite ACT score of 19 or higher. (Transfer students with a minimum 3.0 transfer GPA in at least 12 college-level semester credits also qualify for the award.) It s renewable each year with maintenance of a minimum NMU GPA.
