5 PROGRAM SITES 1-SCHOOL CELEI is located in a Carmen, a traditional house with garden, surrounded by the 11th century Arab wall in the Albayzín. This neighborhood, retains the narrow winding streets of its medieval Moorish past. It was declared a World Heritage site in 1984, along with its famous Alhambra Palace. 2-UNIVERSITY OF GRANADA The University of Granada has over students. Currently offers 75 degree qualifications in its 28 centers. The Post-Graduate School offers 68 Master Programs,116 Doctorates and 113 complementary courses. There are 2 University Campuses in Granada, as well as, Campus Centro which encompasses all the different faculties and centers spread out over the historical part of the city. The University s policy of recovering, maintaining and restoring buildings with historical and cultural importance has helped enriching its heritage. In connection with the defense of traditional elements, the new Technological Health Science Park is a real investment in innovation. Still in development, it helps interaction with technology based, health and biological businesses and boosts biomedical knowledge and the quality of healthcare. 6 YOUR ACCOMODATION IN GRANADA 1-HOMESTAY As part of the academic program students live, with carefully selected families. The homestay experience provides students an exceptional opportunity to immerse into the Spanish daily life and culture. Homestay includes full room and board, with laundry service, single room, personal key (to be returned upon departure) and bed sheets and towels 2-APARTAMENTS, HOTELS OR STUDENT RESIDENCIES. We can provide accommodation in Apartments, Hotels or Student Residences. All of which will be placed in the beautiful historical neighborhood of the Albayzin. Close to the school, the most iconic sites and city center. CELEI SERVICES 1-ORIENTATION Intercultural orientation will be offered to students during the first part of their program; discussing Spanish values, norms and behaviors; learning about customs and traditions and contrasting Spanish culture with that of students countries. 2-AIRPORT PICK UP Transportation will be arranged from the airport in Granada to the homestay address. 3-INTERNET ACCESS Free internet access is available at CELEI during office hours. 4-ALL OTHER IN COUNTRY TRANSPORT Will be included in the program budget. 5-CURLTURAL ACTIVITIES AND FIELD TRIPS. UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS SPAIN: GATEWAY IN HUMAN MIGRATION The program combines intensive Language study with an interdisciplinary seminar on migration, taking Spain as a case study, as well as a field research Project that immerses students in the reality of immigration and its impact in the community. SOCIAL CHANGE THROUGH LANGUAGE AND COMMUNITY SERVICE This program searches for the maximum development of humanity and communicative competence through total immersion Spanish classes, workshops, community service, stay in a host family and field activities. 5

8 HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS FLAMENCO, ART AND FOLKLORE IN SOUTHERN SPAIN This program immerses participants in the history and folklore of the community through a seminar combining dance, theater and pottery. while increasing their skills of communication. They have the opportunity to immerse into the rich culture of different regions and enjoy the lively summer life with host siblings. ECO-SPORT This program is designed for high school students who are looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in various sports as well as in Spanish language. Travel, play and enjoy nature through this environmental oriented sport program. 6

9 PROFESSIONAL AND TEACHER PROGRAMS METHODOLOGY AND LANGUAGE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES This course is designed to support the promotion of bilingualism in Andalusia. The goals are to improve teacher`s language competence, provide teaching resources and facilitate the introduction of the target language as a working. INTENSIVE SPANISH AND CULTURE FOR SPANISH TEACHERS This intensive Spanish course is specifically designed for teachers of Spanish as a second Language, teachers in bilingual education, or working in Spanish immersion. The course intends to facilitate teachers the acquisitions of language skills and also offer them linguistic and cultural tools that will be used in their daily classes. The course includes a Culture and Society Seminar introducing cultural, social, political and economic issues of present Spain. 7

10 ERASMUS + CELEI EDUCATION PROVIDER IN ERASMUS + CELEI is an Education Provider within the framework of Erasmus + projects which organize all aspects related to the preparation, submission and implementation of European projects. As a reliable, experienced and hardworking partner, we have and are working in several projects: Erasmus + KA2 Project We have successfully realized a prestigious project called EUFICCS based on European Use of Full-Immersion, Culture, Content, Service approach for Language Learning, developed by a European consortium made up of Italy, Portugal and Spain. At the moment we are developing a new project with partners from Poland, Italy and Germany in the field of vocational training and innovation. Also we have many useful contacts with Universities, NGO s, Sport Clubs, High schools, Public and Private Institutions, Vocational Training Institutions, Companies, Secondary, Primary and Kindergartens schools. Erasmus + KA1 Project. We prepare a complete training programme of internship for students, teachers or professionals including study visits.
