1 JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY IMPORTANT NOTICE Counseling and Spot admission in PG & Technology Counseling and Spot adm ission will be conducted against existing vacant seats ( as indicated separately) will be conducted on in Gandhi Bhavan of Jadavpur university, Jadavpur cam pus. Reporting tim e to Gandhi Bhavan am. The candidates will not be allowed to enter the hall after 1 pm. under any circum stances. 2. All the applicants (applied during the period from 20 t h April, 2016 to 6 t h M ay, 2016) including those who have taken adm ission in Jadavpur University, will be allowed to participate in the Counseling and Spot admission process. However, eligibility of all the candidates who will take part in Counseling and Spot adm ission process, will be verified from originals. Admission will be offered on the basis of m erit am ong the candidates who will t ake part in this Counseling and Spot admission process only and available seats at the time of accepting offer at that particular m oment. The candidates will not be allowed to change the specialization/departm ent once the adm ission offer is accepted during Counseling and Spot admission process, under any circum stances. Relevant Eligibility Criteria FOR P.G. COURSES IN ENGG./TECH./ARCH./PHARM COURSES Category (A) GATE/GPAT: Obtained Bachelor s degr ee in Engg./Tech./Arch./Pharmacy Or M.Sc./MCA as given in the Schedul e below with at least averag e Grade point 6.75 (60%) for General Candidate or Grade point 5.25 (45%) for SC/ST/PW D Candidate and qualified through GATE/GPAT having valid GATE/GPAT Score. Pleas e not e that M.Sc. in Physics / Chem istry / Material Sc. / Electronics Sc. Candidates are eligible for Master of Material Course and MCA Candidates are eligible fo r Master of Software Course. OR Passed Mem bership/associate Mem bership Exa mination in the appropriate discipline conducted by the following professional bodies, like Institution of Engineers (India)/Indian Institute of Architects/ Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers/ Institute of Elect ronics Telecomm unication Engineers approved b y Govt. of India, with at least averagegrade point 6.75 (60%) for General Candidate or Grade point 5.25 (45% ) for SC/ST/PW D Candidate and qualified through GATE having valid GATE/GPAT Scoreare eligible for adm ission to PG courses in Engg./Tech./Arch./Pharm. as GATE category candidates.
