ACADEMIC CRITERIA To be considered for admission to grade 12 at Camperdown High applicants must: - Pass a minimum of 5 subjects at the CSEC General Proficiency Level PLEASE NOTE: applicants must achieve grade 1 or 2 in the subject that they wish to pursue at grade 12. NON ACADEMIC CRITERIA If an applicant is accepted into grade 12, they must: - Exhibit exemplary conduct and attitude - Attend school and classes on a regular basis - Be punctual to school and classes - Be willing to participate in extra-curricular activities - Fulfil the community service requirement - Sit a minimum of THREE CAPE subjects, in addition to Caribbean/Communications Studies - Complete IAs satisfactorily and by the given deadline - Obey ALL the school rules, especially those related to uniform, hairstyles and mobile phones. Please note that grade 13 is not automatic. Students will only be invited to grade 13 based on - Good academic performance and compliance with the non-academic criteria listed above - Financial clearance by the Bursary PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING The contribution fee must be paid in FULL BEFORE Orientation day. Students will not be allowed to commence classes if this fee is not paid in full. If accepted into the sixth form programme, you are expected to abide by all the rules and regulations of Camperdown High School. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave the school. Rules and regulations are outlined in the students handbook School begins at 7:25 a.m. and dismisses at 2:40 p.m. for ALL students. Ethics is a compulsory course for all Grade 12 and 12T students. A weekend retreat held during the second term of the year is a part of this course. ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND. Parents are asked to start making adequate preparations for this retreat. Each student is REQUIRED to complete a minimum of 30 hours of Community Service. In addition, to community service, students may be time-tabled to supervise students in the lower school. 2
