3 Survey Definitions Institution refers to the entire College. Senior Leadership refers to the most senior members of the institution (i.e. President, Vice Presidents, Deputy Provost, Associate Vice Presidents, Deans and those who report directly to the President). Faculty refers to all instructors except graduate teaching assistants. Staff refers to all non-faculty employees of the college. 4 In Their Own Words I love the campus! The people have also been a lot of fun to hang around. Everyone comes from such a different background. It is nice to have such a diverse peer group. The affordability of tuition. The ridiculously small class sizes, I actually know my professors and they recognize me as an individual and I can have a personal dialogue with them. The best part of my student experience has been the connection that I have made with my Professors. While I am learning from them in many ways and it is reflected in how I perform in their class. When a Professor is really teaching and cares about the topic and the students it is some thing that can be felt within the classroom. When that isn't there you can see it and feel it. Overall, it's a good institution and it's very accommodating to non-traditional students. I also LOVE the fact that the RTD and light rail are included with tuition.

35 In Their Own Words Overall my experience at Metro has been pretty down to earth. Most of the staff and administration are extremely helpful. My teachers are always ready, if not eager, to help and most tend to keep flexible office hours. There is no "ivory tower" attitude at Metro. The level of education for the money is, in my opinion, outstanding. I like that this is not a research school so my profs are here to teach, not to write books. My number one reason for attending Metro over any other institution in the state is that we, hands down, have the best technical theatre program in the region. Honestly, if someone else would have had a better program, I would be there. The best part of my student experience at Metro has been the exposure to diversity. I am comfortable in crowds in which I am the minority and most often I don't even notice it. This is something that Metro has given me that I didn't receive growing up in white suburbs. Overall, I believe that MSCD is an awesome school! Especially the IDP program, Independent Degree Program, where students can actually come up with their own major if it is not currently being offered (with the help of staff in the IDP department). The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Denver!
