1 REGULATIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT AND PARTICIPATION IN THE PAID PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIPS organised with potential Employers within Project You study You practice. Internship programme for students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of I. GENERAL PROVISIONS 1 Definitions and general terms Terms used in these Rules have the following meaning: Project - the project You study You practice. Internship programme for students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of, no. POWR S234/15 implemented under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development, Priority Axis III, Higher education for the economy and development Measure 3.1 Competence in higher education, under the agreement no. UDA-POWR S234/15 concluded with the Intermediate Body on 15 July 2016, co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund, Project Office - an administrative unit of the project, located in the main building of Poznań University of Life Sciences,, Poland, room 171, EU - European Union, ESF - European Social Fund, OP KED - Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development (Polish: PO WER Program Operacyjny Wiedza Edukacja Rozwój ), Intermediate Body - the National Centre for Research and Development, ul. Nowogrodzka 47a, Warszawa, Poland. Internship organiser/ University - with its registered office at ul. Wojska Polskiego 28, Poznań, Poland, referring a Student to execute the internship at the Internship executor, Student - a Student of full-time study of one of the following fields Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences at : - Biology: III, IV, V, VI semester of Bachelor s degree or III, IV semester of Master s degree - Tourism and Recreation: III, IV, V, VI semester of Bachelor s degree, - Tourism of Natural Sciences III, IV semester of Master s degree, - Veterinary Medicine: IX, X semester of Master s degree (long cycle M. sc.), - Animal Science: V, VI semester of Engineer s degree or II, III semester of Master s degree Candidate - a Student applying for the internship, Project Participant - a Student executing the professional internship implemented within the Project based hereon, or waiting to start the aforementioned internship, Intern Student of one of 5 fields (Biology, Tourism and Recreation, Tourism of Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science) at the Poznań University of Life Science, taking part in internship within the framework of this Project, Internship - paid form of practical gaining knowledge, involving gaining knowledge, checking and improving professional practical skills in the workplace, without establishing an employment relationship with the employer, organised within the Project for Students 5 fields (Biology, Tourism and Recreation, Tourism of Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science) of Poznań University of Life Sciences, Internship contractor/ Employer - a company or institution receiving a Student on the internship, with a profile directly related to the field of studies, Sciences of

2 Internship supervisor - a person appointed by the Employer to provide substantively care to the Intern and supervise over the organization and the course of the internship, Month - in accordance with Civil Code: Article. 112 paragraph 3 of the Act of 23 April (Journal of Laws 1964 No. 16, pos. 93, as amended. Chg.) a period expressed in weeks, months or years finishes at the end of the day which corresponds in name or date to the first day of the period, and if there is no such day in the last month, on the last day of that month. Regulation/Rules relates to the present rules of recruitment and participation in the Project, and thus participation in paid vocational internships with appendices 1-11, current as of the day of its implementation, Agreement (for the internship organisation) - is a tripartite agreement on the organisation of the internship, between the University / Organiser of the internship, Internship Contractor / Employer and Trainee. 2 Basis for internships implementation within the Project 1. These rules specify the conditions for the recruitment for the Project and for participation in paid professional internships, organised under the Project. 2. The applicant and the executor of the Project is, under agreement no. UDA-POWR S234/15 concluded on July 15, 2016 with the National Centre for Research and Development, acting as the Intermediate Body for Priority Axis III Higher Education for Economy and Development (OP KED). 3. The aim of the Project is to increase professional and social competencies of Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of, by launching highquality internship programme, that will allow to gain practical work experience. Furthermore, its aim is also to step up the cooperation of the University with Employers in terms of strengthening the practical elements of education, practical skills for Students and developing their professional skills to work in institutions and enterprises, which activity is similar to the field of studies carried out by Students at. 4. Internships are executed in accordance with Council Regulations dated on on the quality frameworks for internships no / C 88/01. 3 Objective and assumptions of internships 1. The objective of the internship is to develop professional skills and to gain professional experience by Students involved in the Project, that is closely related to the faculty and program of study (in accordance with the educational outcomes for a given faculty). 2. The project involves the organisation of at least 366 internships in the period between September 1, 2016 and August 31, 2018 prepared for Project Participants, that will be eligible to participation in the Project. 3. For the internship and scholarship there are eligible only those Participants of the Project, who at the same time: a. were eligible in the recruitment to participate in internship, b. have applied required and properly filled documents, referred to in 7, item 1b and have provided a signed, tripartite agreement before starting the internship 4. Each student (selected for an internship) can take part in paid internship for Employers that will last for a) 120 hours of internship with domestic employers (1st degree studies and long cycle M. sc.) b) 240 hours of internship with international employers (2nd degree studies and long cycle M. sc.) c) 360 hours of internship with national employers (2nd degree and long cycle M. sc.). II. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT 4 Sciences of

3 The target group of the project 1. The project is designed for full-time Students of 1 st degree (Eng. / B.A) and 2 nd degree (M.Sc.) and long cycle (M.Sc) in the 5 fields of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences at Poznań University of Life Sciences: - Biology - 41 Students of III, IV, V, VI semester of Bachelor s degree and 37 Students of III, IV semester of Master s degree (not less than 30% Students in a given year) -Tourism and Recreation - 43 Students of III, IV, V, VI semester of Bachelor s degree (not less than 30% Students in a given year) -Tourism of Natural Sciences - 33 Students of III, IV semester of Master s degree (not less than 30% Students in a given year) - Veterinary medicine: 56 Students of IX, X semester of Master s degree (long cycle, not less than 30% Students in a given year) - Animal science: 64 Students V, VI semester of Engineer s degree and 92 Students of II, III semester of Master s degree (not less than 30% Students in a given year). 2. The total number of Participants is limited. 5 Recruitment of Project Participants 1. Selection of Candidates is determined by the following criteria: I. eligible criteria (0/1): a. Students of full-time studies Status for the year and the degree covered by the Project (as described in 4 point. 1) b. Declaration of full availability during the period of internship, c. A positive result of language test at B2 level (applies only for Students who will try to participate in internships abroad) II. point criteria (maximum number of points to obtain - 90 points): a. grades (determined by the average of the last graduated semester) - the maximum number of points - 50, b. additional, documented activities on behalf of the University and / or Faculty - including activities in Students Scientific Groups and / or in the research projects, self-government, etc. - Maximum number of points - 30, c. declared lack of professional experience other than the mandatory study practice - the number of points - 10; III. additional criteria (+10 / -10 points): a. a certificate of disability - plus additional 10 points, b. participation in the internship funded by the Operational Programme Human Capital and / or OP KED - minus 10 points (in order to increase opportunities for students who have not used the financial support from ESF yet). 2. On the basis of the applications there will be drawn up a list of people selected to participate in the Project. Those who will not be selected due to lack of free places, will be placed on the reserve list and they will be invited to participate in the Project in case of dismissal of any place. 6 The recruitment procedure 1. Recruitment of the Participants will be launched altogether with the moment of the official announcement on the Project website (or on the website of the Faculty that is under the Project - if the website of the Project does not work for any reason). There are planned few terms of basic recruitment for faculties Biology, Tourism and Recreation, Tourism of Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science: October / November 2016, February / March 2017, September / October 2017, February / March Sciences of

4 In case of a large interest in the Project, a Project Manager reserves the right to early termination of recruitment procedure. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places there will be created a reserve list of candidates to participate in the Project. 2. There can be opened complementary recruitment in each semester in case of lack of sufficient number of applications, rotation among Candidates or for any other justifiable reason. 3. In order to obtain information on detailed recruitment schedule the website of the Project must be visited regularly. 4. The recruitment procedure comprises the following steps: a. information regarding the start of recruitment and adopted criteria on the Project website (or on the website of the Faculty under the Project in case the website of the Project does not work for any reason). b. fulfilment of an application form (online or paper) by the Candidate c. verification of compliance with formal criteria by the Project Team, d. preparation of a list of eligible persons and the list of reserves and putting information on the Project website (or on the website of the Faculty under the Project - in case the website of the Project does not work for any reason), e. signing the documents referred to in 7,item 1b by the persons eligible to participate in the Project. 5. Sending the application is not equivalent to the selection of the Candidate to participate in the Project. 6. Any application received after closing of the recruitment procedure will not be considered. III. RULES OF PARTICIPATION IN INTERNSHIP 7 Selection of candidates To apply for the internship, the following conditions must be answered: INTERN: 1. The candidate should: a. be the Student of full-time studies Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences in one of the field: - Biology: III, IV, V, VI semester of Bachelor s degree or III, IV semester of Master s degree - Tourism and Recreation: III, IV, V, VI semester of Bachelor s degree, - Tourism of Natural Sciences III, IV semester of Master s degree, - Veterinary Medicine: IX, X semester of Master s degree (long cycle), - Animal Science: V, VI semester of Engineer s degree or II, III semester of Master s degree. b. complete and submit the required documents in the Project Office: The application form (model is attached as Appendix 1 to the Rules); Statement of the participant of the Project: on the processing of personal data (model is attached as Appendix 2 to the Rules); Student Statement: confirmation of the status of the labour market (model is attached as Appendix 3 to the Rules); Curriculum vitae (CV) (model is attached as Appendix 4 to the Rules); An application for an internship (Appendix 5 of the Rules) Certificate of a positive result of language test at minimum B2 level (only for candidates applying to participate in an internship abroad) c. sign a tripartite agreement on the organisation of the internship, Sciences of

5 In the moment of the beginning of participation in the Project a Candidate must have the status of a Student 1 of the above mentioned faculties, i.e. on the day of signing of a tripartite agreement on the organisation of the internship. EMPLOYER: 1. Intern can take an internship with Employers who answer the following conditions: a. the subject of its activity is directly related to the field of study, carried out by the Student, b. internship position offered by them enables to support the educational outcomes for faculty, c. have the authority to perform specific activities or actions, if required by the law of such powers d. have the necessary technical capacity to carry out the internship, e. have staff that is able to supervise the Intern, f. are not in liquidation or bankruptcy, g. have submitted Application form according to the model constituting Appendix 9 to these Rules. 8 Obligations of the Internship Contractor / Employer 1. Internship Contractor: a. expresses its willingness to cooperate and agrees with project assumptions, including, inter alia, filling the project documentation, visiting of the University representative at the place of internship, filling the documents related to the assessment of Intern and marking the places of internship, b. provides the required documents in the dates indicated below to the Project Office : internship application form containing: information about Employer (name and address information about core business), information on the number of offered internships and preferred deadlines, shortened (Framework) programme of offered internship according to Appendix 9 to the Regulations - for the duration of the open call for internship tenders announced on the Project website or on the website of the Department performing this Project, declaration of acceptance on internship an Intern indicated by the name (Appendix 10 to the Regulations) - the date of the signing of a trilateral agreement on the organisation of the internship. Failure to provide the above mentioned documents can be the basis for cancellation of cooperation with the Employer, c. will prepare Programme of the Internship, in cooperation with the Intern (range of internship must be consistent with the educational outcomes in a given faculty and must ensure the possibility of practical application of Intern knowledge) on the model attached as Appendix 11 to the Rules and submit it for approval the designated representative of the Organiser (departmental representative for internship), d. will sign a tripartite agreement on the organisation of the internship (with the proxy of the person / persons signing the agreement on the organisation of the internship, if applicable) e. will provide adequate place of internship at the headquarters / branch / office, f. will provide health and safety training, medical examination and necessary workplace training in accordance with the internal requirements. g. will mark the place of internship ( min. 1 poster A3 size containing information on the support offered under the Project, provided by the University through the Student, placed in a public and visible place, such as e.g. the entrance to the building, in which the internship is implemented) h. will appoint a Supervisor for Intern, who will take care of the Intern during internship (possible costs of employee engagement as the foreign Internships Supervisor will be borne by the Employer) i. will complete and certify report on the implementation of the internship (the model in Appendix No. 8 to the Regulations - whereby preparing reports, it must cover educational outcomes described 1 Definition in Act of 27 July 2015 High Education Law (the Journal of Law of 2005, No.164, item 1365, as amended.) 6 separately for separated fields and levels of study) j. after the end of the internship, a filled certificate of completion of an internship will be delivered with a help of the Intern to the Project Office (model attached as Appendix 7 to the Rules) k. declares its willingness to fill in evaluation questionnaires and monitor the Project. 2. An employer may take any number of Students for internship, but each Internship Supervisor can be responsible for no more than 4 Interns. Organiser, at the request of the Employer, may increase the limit or reduce the number of Interns when it considers that the adoption of higher or smaller number of Interns by the Employer does not adversely affect the quality of internships or the implementation of the Project. 3. In case of a higher number of students on the Internship with the Employer, than the number of places that it can be provided, the eligibility is determined by the Employer on the basis of an interview. 4. Before signing the agreement on the organisation of the internship, the Organiser reserves the right to verify the Employers and the feasibility of the placement, in particular the place of internship and work tools. In case the Organiser has objections about the feasibility of the placement of the Employer (eg. the lack of a dedicated workplace, lack of working tools, bad working conditions), an internship will not be realized. 9 Responsibilities of Intern 1. A student taking paid internship, undertakes to: a. start and end of the internship within the time limits agreed in the agreement on the organisation of 120 hours (Bachelor s degree and long cycle), 240 hours (Master s degree and long cycle, abroad internship), 360 hours (Master s degree and long cycle M.sc., domestic internship) and in accordance with the time schedule, specified by the Employer, as indicated in the Internship Programme (Appendix 11 to the Rules) b. deliver to the Employer poster with information on the Project, provided by Project Office, c. take part in internship in a place designated by the internship Contractor and in accordance with its principles and Internship Programme, using the materials and tools entrusted by the Employer, d. comply with the Regulations and established internship rules, including internship time agreed with the internship Contractor and meticulous execution of assigned tasks and responsibilities, e. compliance with internal regulations, the established order of work and fire regulations and safety rules in force with the Employer, f. maintain the confidentiality of information made available to him/her by the Employer during the internship, g. provide the internship documents certified by the Employer to the Project Office within 10 working days after the date of completion of: complete list of attendance - documenting number of hours specified in the internship Programme and approved by the internship Supervisor (Intern is obliged to provide a separate attendance lists for each month, keeping in mind that within a month there should be realized not less than 120 hours of internship. At the end of each month there must be provided scans of signed attendance lists via (address: staze.wmwz@up.poznan.pl) -up to 5 days since the end of the month. A set of original documents must be provided to the Project Office after the completion of the internship). certificate of completion of the internship by Intern, issued by the representative of the Employer (a model is attached as Appendix 7 to the Rules) report on the implementation of the internship Programme certifying the completion of the internship, confirming competence consistent with the educational outcomes in a given field is gained (Appendix 8 to the Rules) - bearing in mind that for each fields and degree there are different educational outcomes, h. execute the tasks given by persons acting on behalf of the Employers correctly and within the required timeframe, i. immediately inform the University about the interruption of the internship by providing a written statement to the Project Manager (within maximum 3 days after the point of interruption in the Sciences of

7 internship). j. fill pre and post tests of knowledge and competences prepared by the Representative of internships, before and after the internship, k. fill the final questionnaire about the evaluation of the executed internship suitability in later careers (at the end of the participation in the project) l. provide the Internship organiser with the information about its situation in the labour market within 4 weeks after completing the participation in the Project 2. Failure to meet the obligations referred to the above and / or provide documents listed in the Regulations and the tripartite agreement on the organisation of internship and / or provide documents in incomplete form, results in the inability to confirm the realization of internship. Organiser of the internship reserves the right to withhold payment of the scholarship until the Intern provides documentation. 3. The Intern is obliged to provide the Project Office with any information about the change of personal data and contact details and any other data that may affect the proper internship realization. 10 Financial regulations 1. Intern under the internship will receive scholarship in the maximum total amount of: 1434 PLN gross (in words: one thousand four hundred thirty-four 00/100) for 120 hours of internship (1st degree and long cycle, domestic/abroad internships), or PLN gross (in words: four thousand three hundred and two 00/100) for 360 hours of internship (2nd degree and long cycle, domestic internships) or PLN gross (in words: two thousand eight hundred sixty-eight 00/100) for 240 hours of internship (2nd degree and long cycle, abroad internship) 2. The basis for the payment of the scholarship referred to in paragraph 1, is the number of hours realized during the internship multiplied by 11,95 PLN gross, together with the costs of employer / hour, 3. The scholarship is funded by the European Union under the European Social Fund. Detailed conditions of payment of the scholarship regulates the Agreement to organise internships. 4. The scholarship is paid to a Student monthly in arrears, i.e. after one month, during the implementation of the internship provided: - Carry out not less than 120 hours in a given month (this means that during a three-month internship in each successive month there should be implemented exactly 120 hours), - 100% of attendance (documented on the basis of list of attendance approved by the internship Supervisor), i.e. realization of the amount of hours of internship work schedule accepted by the Employer in a required time limit, - a favourable opinion about the internship from the internship Supervisor designated by the Employer, - the documents referred to in 9 point g are provided within the required timeframe. 5. The basis for determining the maximum amount of internship scholarship is the equivalent of 50% of the average monthly salary (in accordance with the Notice of the President of the Central Statistical Office the average monthly salary in the corporate sector). Organiser of the internship reserves the right to reduce the value of the scholarship and bring it to the amount resulting the amount of the current notice. This change does not require the written form of an annex to the agreement to organise internships. 6. The scholarship will be paid from the funds of the project by the Organiser of the placement in accordance with the terms and internal procedures of the University. 11 Additional support Students participating in vocational internships are entitled to: 1. Reimbursement of travel costs. For abroad internships: In case of abroad internships, Organiser of internship will reimburse to all participants: Sciences of

8 a) the cost of travel from the place of residence to the place of internship and back (up to 1500 PLN gross / pers.). The purchase costs of flight and train tickets to travel abroad will be reimbursed provided to act through the Department of International Cooperation. In accordance with the procurement rules, trips abroad at the University are implemented through a travel agency selected in a tender. Bus and ferry tickets can be purchased on their own. In such cases, the refund will be made on the basis of invoices / ticket. Detailed information on purchase procedure are available on the university's website in the section International Cooperation Department. Refund will not be the subject to the cost of journeys made in the time of the internship between the place of implementation of the internship and residence in Poland (e.g. for weekends or holidays). The costs of commuting to the place of the internship from the place of accommodation are not reimbursed. Intern should find an accommodation not far from the place of internship. b) the costs of accommodation abroad based on rules described in point 2 2. Reimbursement of accommodation costs. For abroad internships Reimbursement for all participants in case of taking the abroad internship. The maximum amount of reimbursement has been estimated at the level up to 35 euro / day. Reimbursement will be possible on the basis of current expenditure. Student will be required to submit three competitive rental offer in a similar location that allows to reach the place of internship and choose the cheapest of them. Documents justifying the incurred expenditure will be e.g. invoice, bill for a room, hire contract; indicating the number of nights, the unit rate, the rental period and a name of the tenant. Refund will be made after the application for reimbursement of accommodation costs on the formula provided by the Project Office, along with the financial document, and after verification and approval of expenditure by the Project Office. Any doubt as to the legitimacy of the reimbursement of accommodation will be resolved by Project Office. Project Office reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify the necessity of reimbursement of travel costs. Documents certifying the eligibility of expenditures referred to in 11 paragraphs 1-2, should be delivered to the Project Office within 10 working days after the termination of participation in the internship (together with other documents related to the settlement of the internship). Refunds will be transferred to the account specified in the declaration attached as Appendix 3 to the Regulations. In justified cases the Organiser of the internship allows reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs for each month of internship, provided that the documents referred to in 11 paragraph. 1-2 are delivered. 3. Accident insurance (NNW). It includes incidents at work or during travel between the place of internship, and the place of residence or accommodation. The insurance does not include other benefits such as civil liability or reimbursement of medical expenses (other than covered by accident insurance). Persons wishing to benefit from a wider range of protection can take additional insurance on their own. Organiser of internship does not provide the health insurance other than those resulting from the application to the Social Insurance in accordance with the declaration made by Intern, along with the agreement. In case of travelling abroad it is advisable to ask the relevant branch of the National Health Fund for the European Health Insurance Card. 12 Absences during internship 1. In case of absence on the internship without justification, Intern loses the right to scholarship specified in 10 and it may be even required to reimburse the cost, if such cost was incurred by the Contractor and in case the Contractor of the internship requests for its return. In case continuation of the internship according to the required time schedule is not possible, Intern shall immediately (i.e. within not more than 3 days): a. contact the Supervisor b. justify the reason for absence, c. determine the further schedule of work at the internship Contractor / Employer with the help of Supervisor, d. provide the Project Office with the findings. 3. In case continuation of participation in the internship is not possible for justified reasons, and the Intern realized at least 80% of the scheduled hours, successful completion of the internship is possible only after: a. receiving a favourable opinion of the employer, who finds the state of knowledge of Intern sufficient to pass an internship with a passing grade, b. a positive decision regarding the approval of the internship issued by the Project Manager. In such a case the Intern will receive a scholarship calculated in proportion to the number of worked hours. IV. FINAL PROVISIONS Intern and Employer (Internship Contractor) will be informed about their obligations in the range of the implementation of the Project by providing them the Regulations. 2. The rights and obligations of the Organiser of the internship, Intern and Contractor of the internship are regulated by Agreement to organise internship. 14 In all matters not covered by these Regulations, Agreement to organise internship, Study regulations, the Agreement on financing the Project No. UDA-POWR S234/15 and the Civil Code should be applied. 15 Appendices to these Regulations: a. Appendix 11 - Programme of the internship The appendices are an integral part hereto. 16 Terms of internship are available on the website of the project (or on the website of the Faculty), as well as in the Project Office. 17 These rules will come into force on Sciences of
