1 WELLNESS - Starting up with Wellness Training LLP project nr EE1-LEO ECVET is a system for the accumulation and transfer of credit points in vocational education and training. It enables documentation and certification of learning outcomes gained during Vocational Education and Training abroad (EVOC Handbook). International student exchanges are more attractive, if there is a certainty, how studies completed during the exchange can be used as part of a qualification. ECVET will allow the added value of international exchanges to be evaluated. ECVET will allow individual learning paths to be created. ECVET will help enrichment of competencies and peer learning not only taking same like in home country. LEARNING OUTCOMES KNOWLEDGES SKILLS COMPETENCES ECVET will improve transparency of qualifications A person has an opportunity for a learning period abroad A person can transfer home his/her new learning outcomes and include them in their qualifications
2 AN ECVET PARTNERSHIP IS BASED ON MUTUAL TRUST. A prerequisite of such a partnership is a profound knowledge of the vocational education and training system and of the qualifications imparted by the partner. Part 1. IDENTIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WORK TASKS OR WORK PROCESSES Describe the roles/tasks of the spa professions with reference to your country/work placement: Which are the competencies (knowledges and skills) required for the above work tasks? Finland 15 credits out of 180 credits of beauty therapist curriculum Work task spa therapy/wellness traditions and history, and has knowledge of the relevant concepts and treatments as well as the work surroundings aromatherapy massage, different spa treatments, and several ways of massaging hands, face, feet and body for example using water, bath, sauna, herbs, stones, heat or cooling indications contraindications of the spa treatments, massages and aromatherapy massages the effects of aromatherapy massage, spa treatments and massages on the skin and on the body's functioning and well being spa/wellness treatments, using at least two different professional product brands planning and executing several different spa treatment combinations instructing the customer with their personal skin care and body care, selling aromatherapy massages, spa/wellness treatments, massages and skincare products assessing the work process and the results of his or her work searching for more information, guidance and professional support keeping up his/her safety and ability to work increasing sustainable development with his/her work Knowledges-Skills will take the most common contraindications into consideration in his/her work in his/her work, employs knowledge regarding spa/wellness treatments and aromatherapy massage history and the care culture is familiar with the products most important ingredients and their effects and, if necessary, will search for more information on them takes the customer's possible allergies into consideration looks for information in materials and guidelines related to his/her work following instructions and by using dictionaries understands short and simple written messages relating to his/her own field chooses the safest methods, products and equipment for the treatment does aromatherapy massages, spa/wellness treatments and massages takes good care of the cleanness of his/her working environment and equipment, as well as personal hygiene and aseptic works with people from different cultures in multicultural environment uses his/her knowledge of the languages he/she speaks in familiar situations Using a foreign language
