1 This report has been designed to further enhance the usefulness of the Mid-Year Student Assessment (MYSA). It consists of five sections. The first section presents a statistical summary of your students scores and/or responses on the Mid-Year Student Assessment alongside their scores and/or individual responses from the College Student Inventory Form B. Because the academic motivation, general coping, and transfer scales for both the Mid-Year Student Assessment and the CSI Form B are in the form of percentiles based on a national sample, you can readily determine how your students compare to the national norm (which is the 50th percentile on each scale). The data are represented separately for females, males, and all students combined. The second section presents a summary of the student needs and interests for the Mid-Year Student Assessment, as well as the summary receptivity scale scores from the College Student Inventory Form B. The first column reveals the receptivity scale scores for the CSI Form B; the second column shows the number of students who indicated on the Mid-Year Student Assessment they have received help already; and the third column provides an indication of the number of students who desire to receive help this term or continue to receive help or information. The third section is relevant to the Mid-Year Student Assessment only. It provides a summary of student satisfaction scores for nine specific areas that are frequently associated with student success: student interactions with peers, advisors and faculty; assistance with selecting a major; sense of belonging; and availability of financial resources. The number and percent of student ratings for each of the response options (1= low, 7=high) are presented for each of the nine areas. The fourth section represents students responses to the ten demographic items included in the Mid-Year Student Assessment alongside any parallel items from the College Student Inventory Form B. The number and percentage of students selecting each response option are provided for each of the seven demographic items. The fifth section provides a listing of students by college plans. The four lists represent the four response options for the demographic item "My College Plans".
