Please attach the following documents: o a certified copy of your high school diploma o a certified copy of your Bachelor or Diploma degree certificate, including transcript (minimum of 3 years fulltime or 180 ECTS; may be submitted upon arrival in Mainz; Please note: your bachelor degree MUST be a degree in Business. We can only reward our master degree to students who have successfully completed our programme and who hold a first (bachelor) degree in BUSINESS. o Clear documentation of your study periods a transcript with exact dates of study periods/end of studies (may be submitted upon arrival in Mainz) o a 2-page motivation letter explaining why you want to study this programme o Proof of English (IELTS 6.5, TOEFL IBT 92, TOEFL CBT 800 minimally). o Proof of a third language on B2 level or German B2 level (before graduation) Deadline for application: May 30 th

Apply for accommodation by filling in the online-form of the Studierendenwerk at: All students who will need accomodation in Mainz, should apply for a place at one of the dormitories in advance, as it is very difficult to find an accommodation on your own in Mainz. If you are selected for the Master programme we guarantee for a room in a dormitory of the Studierendenwerk, if you have applied at above mentioned website on time. It`s absolutely necessary to apply before December 15th. If you are not selected for our programme there won`t be any costs or obligations for you concerning the accommodation. NOTE: students aged over 30 years can t be hosted in the dormitories and should find a place on their own. Please contact the Programme Manager or International Office for further support. Applicants from countries with visa requirements (all nationalities other than EU/EFTA, USA, Japan, Australia, Canada, Israel and New Zealand) o prepare a financial statement for visa application (you must give proof that you possess financial means of a minimum of approx. EUR 7,000 for the first year of studies in Mainz; the German immigration office may even require that you deposit the total of approx. EUR 8,600 on a German bank account with a blockage agreement which means you are not allowed to withdraw more than EUR 680 per month). o apply for the visa as soon as you have received the admission from Hochschule Mainz (most likely you will get a visa for 90 days which has to be renewed in Mainz) 6. Health insurance o Students are entitled to the public health insurance system. Payment: around EUR per month for full coverage of medical care, medicine, hospital NOTE: If you decide to take a German public health insurance, you will need to keep this insurance (and pay monthly fees) during the whole study programme, so also during your exchange abroad. o Students with a private insurance police are exempted from the public health care system For students from outside Germany, it is usually less costly to sign a private health care police in their home country; students from other EU countries usually keep their home country insurance. Upon arrival you will be supported in getting the formal exemption by one of the German health insurance companies. In this case: please bring clear documents of your health insurance policy translated into English or German language. A German health insurance company will confirm your exemption from the public health care system. NOTE: in case of illness you will need to arrange payments with your own (private) health insurance. 3 Exchange Students / Double Degree 7. Book your flight and inform the MA.IB Programme Manager as well as the housekeeper of your German (Mainz) dormitory of your arrival date. Programme officially starts on Thursday 21 st September 2017) 8. Depending on the cooperation contract: pay the tuition fee at your home university (the International Office of your home university will inform you) 9. Upon arrival in Mainz, the International Office of Hochschule Mainz will assist you with: o enrolment at the student registry office ( Studierendensekretariat o exemption from German health care or contract for German health insurance o payment of the compulsory semester fee (social fee ~EUR 300,- per semester including public transportation in the Frankfurt/Mainz area) o if applicable: payment of tuition fee (~EUR 650,- per semester / to be paid if you already hold a Master degree or the German Diplom degree) o registration with the local authorities (registration office Einwohnermeldeamt and immigration office Ausländerbehörde, appointments for visa extension)
