The program at CSN offered mainly law classes and the ability to graduate in one year with a certificate in paralegal studies. The courses and staff have been excellent and I d recommend this program to anyone considering a paralegal career. Started in 1981, CSN s Paralegal Studies Program was the first of its kind in Nevada. The Paralegal Studies Associate of Applied Science Degree and Post-Degree Certificate of Achievement prepare students for employment as a legal professional in law related occupations, including public and private law practices, corporate practices or governmental agencies. The curriculum provides students with practical legal skills enabling them to interpret and draft legal documents, learn legal procedure and prepare cases for trial. Admission Requirements The Associate in Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies requires students to have a high school diploma or equivalent. The Certificate of Achievement in Paralegal Studies requires students to have earned a Bachelor s Degree or Associate of Arts or Science Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
